Gettysburg Address

This speech talks about all the people that lost their lives in the civil war ad how the
people needed to make a portion of that battlefield a place of rest for the people who
were still fighting in that war. I also recognize that my man Abraham makes known that
the United States is a Christian country and Is devoted to all the people who gave their
lives for the United States. And also says that four scores and seven years ago the fathers
of the nation brought liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created
equal, with this he makes known that he Is full disagreement with the war and that the
United States is a country of peace and is glad that the war has deceived. But one question
that we should do is, is the United States a peaceful country right now? Well in my opinion
the answer to this question is half yes half no. Half yes, because this is one of the
countries where you can do whatever you want to, say whatever you want to, etc. and
people literally don´t care. Liberty is found in this country. Half no, because although you
have liberty and somewhat you can find peace, sometimes this just doesn’t happen for
some people black people for example, they experience a lot of racism, especially in the
1960s and near those years, and they are still suffering from this, they even made a
movement called “Black Lives Matter”, some people call it a lifestyle others call it a
movement. Also Asian and Latin people suffer racism, probably other ethnicities too but
these are the ones I know the most, but when in those moments where they experience
that is when they don’t feel that liberty like is said. This is all I had to say about the
Gettysburg address, I probably mixed up the past with the present but it Is something true
the U.S may be a free country but for some people sometimes it isn’t. But as I like to say
“always think about the present, not too much about the future, and learn from the past”.
