FIRE SAFETY
www.faglass.com
Protection,
unlike any other
Our wide range of Glazed Fire Rated Systems allows for fabrication of a variety of structural
elements that are responsible for fire protection zones in buildings and provides appropriate
conditions for evacuation of their occupants. These solutions include products linked to
window and door systems, both for external and internal facades.
The purpose of these systems is to prevent the spread of fire by creating barriers to its passage
for a specified duration, enabling occupants to assemble in a relatively safe compartment and
eventually be pulled out to safety.

Fire Rated Glazing in Buildings Compartmentalisation of floor plates to create fire-safe refuge
spaces are now a mandatory architectural feature in all commercial,
hospitality and residential developments and are dictated as per
the local civic regulations. Fire-rated glass serves as an exceptional
material of choice for creating these compartments due to its
transparence, longevity and almost zero-maintenance.

Fire-rated glazing can be used in skylights to prevent the

SCHOTT PYRANOVA®
PYRANOVA® is a clear, laminated composite glass that is made up
of several thin panes of float glass that prevents passage of fire,
smoke and heat radiation. Due to its structure, PYRANOVA® fire
resistive glasses provide bi-directional protection from fire
scenarios. With high-quality products and intelligent solutions,
we contribute not only to the success of a project but most
importantly ensuring life and safety of building occupants and
making SCHOTT part of everyone’s life.
PYRANOVA® is suitable for all areas of application requiring thermal insulation in case of fire.
In co-operation with Future Glazing, SCHOTT develops internationally approved constructions with
PYRANOVA® special glass, which are ideally suited for applications in:

Maximum glass dimensions of PYRANOVA® depends on the system that has been approved
The industry standard for over 25 years, the FireLite family of products feature ultraHD® Technology for
superior color, clarity and surface quality. FireLite from Technical Glass Products (TGP) is made from
transparent glass ceramic, and has a warmer earth tone when compared to ordinary float glass. It is
available in large sizes and can be installed in standard fire-rated frames. FireLite products are rated up to
four hours*, pass the required hose stream test, has variants that can meet ANSI and CPSC impact safety
standards and are classified and labeled by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.®
Why FireLite
Remains Transparent Throughout Same Week Delivery Time
Does not lose transparency under fire. Our sophisticated inventory management
This is extremely beneficial in critical system ensures we never stock out of the
fire-safety applications like doors and base glass. So you can maintain just-in-
partitions to facilitate human rescue time inventory levels and order the glass
and plan fire-fighting efforts just when you need it!
UltraHD® Technology
Unlike most fire-rated glass ceramics
available, FireLite stands out for its
exceptional light transmission, low
reflection levels and the highly-
polished nature of its surface
Characteristics
Applications
FireLite is an incredible type of glass with near-zero coefficient of thermal expansion and has a softening
point of 1600°C. It does not swell or contract in response to changes in surrounding temperature and
exhibits almost no dimensional variability. FireLite is best-suited for fire-rated applications that require it to
withstand thermal shock and provide fire-protection on the non-fire side up to 240 minutes depending on
the installation and size.
Forster Profile System provides a variety of systems that offers fire protection with more than 1000+ test
evidences for both the profile and PYRANOVA® glass. The system excels with its narrow profile face widths,
filigree appearance and enhanced transparency. The narrow framework increases visibility and allows more
light through with no adverse effects to safety and security. The system offers a wide range of applications
and therefore a high degree of design freedom.
Forster Presto
Forster Presto is the complete profile system with fittings and accessories for flush-
E 60 to fitting single and double-leaved doors, glazed walls, porches and windows which do
not require thermal break. These elements stand for elegance and safety and satisfy
E 120 the most stringent requirements with regard to extreme constant use.

Aluprof Fire Rated systems provide an extensive range of solutions to encompass all requirements in
protecting fire zones in the building and securing evacuation routes. Our fire rated product range
encompasses the following application areas: door and external window wall, internal partition wall system,
high-rise curtain walling system, complemented by slope glazing and roof light options. Depending on
requirements, these applications can achieve different level of performance in terms of fire rating, starting
from EI30 to EI120 for vertical screens, and REI30/RE30 for roof glazing. On the top of that fire rated doors
can be fitted with an additional elements to provide smoke proof performance.
MB-78 EI
The MB-78EI system has been developed for the producing of internal or external
EI 60 to fire-rated partition walls, with single or double-leaf doors featured by a fire
resistance class of EI 15, EI 30, EI 45, EI 60 or EI 90 to EN 13501-2. In most cases, these
EI 120 constructions can also have smoke control characteristics (classes S200 and Sa).
Numerous tests and calculations have shown that MB-78EI-based products have
a very good thermal and acoustic insulation.
MB-118 EI
The MB-118EI fire rated walls are used to make fire partitions with fire resistance class
of EI 120. The system is classified as non-fire spreading (NRO). It’s design and
El 120 construction is such that, it provides a technical connection with the MB-78EI door,
which means a number of common components (such as glazing beads, cooling
inserts, expanding tapes, seals and most accessories) and also similar to the basic
system, production and installation technology.
MB-SR50N EI
Mullion-transom curtain walls MB-SR50N EI and MB-SR50N EI EFEKT are designed for
fabrication of lightweight, hung and in-filled fire-resistant curtain walls classified
EI 60 fireresistant EI 30, EI 60. They allow to create both flat and frangible walls with
connections between modules up to ± 7,5° aside and tilted curtain walls inclined
± 10°. These curtain walls can use MB-78EI-based fire doors. MBSR50N EI and
MB-SR50N EI EFEKT systems can be used as a basis for fire-resistant glazed roofs of
an inclination angle of 0° to 80° classified fire-resistant REI 30/ RE 45.
