Catalog Description
In this course an attempt is made to introduce the students to certain important legal aspects
of business. The course is divided into seven modules dealing with legal, regulatory and
ethical environment for business decision making process. In addition to the relevant
statutory provisions, important case laws would be discussed under each module.

Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to
1. Give insight to various legal aspects of business so that the students are able to
interpret the provisions of some of the important laws.
2. Apply the various legal aspects of business in commercial and industrial enterprises.

Course Outcomes
On completion of this course, the students will be able to
CO1: Identify and explain the various legal aspects associated with business.
CO2: Analyse the legal issues that may arise in the business environment.
CO3: Interpret the Indian legal environment and identify the challenges regarding IPR in the
present digital era.
CO4: Interpret how law and regulations apply to business and the economy.
