I have studied course modules on qualitative (data collection and analysis) and
quantitative (including regression analysis and generalized linear model)
research methodology and an optional module on Social Theories of Learning
and Research involving constructivism, discourse analysis, narrative analysis
and communities of practice theory.

My MSc dissertation was on practice of constructivist and behaviourist


learning theory in classroom teaching in primary level science in UK. I have
observed classroom teaching practice and characterized different aspects of
teaching in relation to behaviourist and constructivist teaching approaches.

Research Interest
My research Interest lies in the field of Cultural Historical Activity theory and theories of learning. I
have conducted researches on effective teaching skills and constructivist teaching approaches. My
future research plan is to investigate how social and cultural dimensions influence students and teachers
in classroom learning activities. My aim is to analyse learning activities as holistic situations
incorporating the social and cultural elements people bring along with them in the context.
