MARTIN´S VACATION

Martin had-have a terrible day yesterday. It was-is the day of his vacation to
Spain, but it was-is a nightmare. He left-leave the house at 10 o'clock in the
morning and caught-catch a taxi to the airport.
Martin went-go to the check- was checking in with his luggage. When the
man who worked- works for the airline asked- ask for his passport, Martin
became-become very upset. Where was-be his passport? Martin realized-
realizes he didn't have his passport with him. What a disaster!
He jumped- jumps back into the taxi and told-tell the driver-drove to take-
took him home. The driver-drove drove-drive quickly, and Martin arrived-
arrive back at his house in twenty minutes.
He ran-run into the house and went-go into his bedroom. He found-find his
passport on the bedside table and left the house again. But the taxi wasn't-
not be there! Where was the taxi!
Martin jumped-jump up and down angrily. "I don't believe-believed it. The
taxi left!" he shouted-shout. He ran-run down the street and looked-look for
another taxi.
After a few minutes, Martin found-founded another taxi and told-tell the
driver-drove to take-took him to the airport as quickly as possible. The traffic
on the roads was-be very bad and, unfortunately, Martin's taxi arrived-arrive
at the airport late. His plane left for Spain at 11.30 and Martin missed-miss it.
He was very sad and went-go to speak to the airline. They promised-promise
to get-got him a seat on an evening flight and Martin went-go home on
another taxi to wait-waited.
