OMV Plus
Ready-to-use, factory-made binder with adhesion promoter.
- No additional facilities at mixing plant are needed.
- No handling with dangerous goods.

 Properties: ensures excellent adhesion between bitumen and aggregate,

even with problematic (critical) aggregates.
 Grades: OMV Bitumen Plus, OMV Starfalt® PmB Plus,
OMV Special Plus
 Loading: OMV PmB-Plant in Szekesfehervar

 OMV Bitumen Plus is especially suited for regions where aggregate

which is problematic in terms of adhesion are used, in regions with high
amounts of precipitation and especially high levels of heavy loaded
traffic.

OMV Bitumen Special NV
OMV Bitumen NV is a low-viscosity paving grade or hard paving grade bitumen
OMV Starfalt® PmB NV is a low-viscosity elastomer modified bitumen

 Properties: - Reduced viscosity at temperatures higher than 100°C

- Increased stiffness in use at temperatures lower than 80°C
- Enhanced plasticity range
- Excellent resistance to thermal deformation
 Advantages: - Reduction of the mixing temperature at the asphalt plant
- Lower CO2 emissions during asphalt mixing
- Paving at lower temperatures
- Possibility of earlier opening to traffic
- Less exposure to aerosols for paving crew
 Applications: All types of hot asphalt mixes
(especially recommended for mastic asphalt)

OMV Bitumen Special
OMV Starfalt® PmB 45/80 FR
OMV Starfalt® PmB 45/80 FR (fuel resistance) is an modified binder especially
designed for roads with heavy traffic, airfields and other traffic surfaces where
enhanced fuel resistance is required.

 Properties: - High fuel resistance acc. EN 12697-43

- Good resistance to de-icing chemicals acc. EN 12697-41
- Pronounced viscoelastic behavior
- High resistance to low temperature cracking and fatigue
- Excellent deformation stability

 Applications: - “High modulus asphalt concrete (AC surf) ” for wearing courses
- Stone mastic asphalt (SMA)
- Asphalt concrete for very thin layers (BBTM)

OMV Bitumen Special - OMV Starfalt® PmB RC
OMV Starfalt® PmB RC is an elastomer modified binder especially designed for
the use in asphalt recycling process at the mixing plant.

 Properties: Specification acc. EN 14024 (polymer modified bitumen)

The aged bitumen in the reclaimed asphalt is “reconditioned”

- Increase in penetration
- Lowering of the softening point according
- Lowering of the Fraass breaking point
- Enabling or reconditioning of elastic recovery

 Grades: OMV Starfalt® PmB 45/80 RC
