Disney

1) The market targeted families and children and the company had already built a
popular brand that was associated with wholesome family entertainment.
The Disney resorts and parks were aiming for a market that focused on creating
images, experiences and products to customers that emphasized fun, imagination,
and service. It aimed to provide a place where customers could escape the cares of
the real world through the "magic" of legendary fairytale and familiar Disney
characters.

2) I think that the major factors that influenced Disney Corporation to locate near to
Paris, in Marne-la-Vallée because the park is clearly next to Paris, which is a main
point, but it is also located central in Western Europe. The park is located no more
than 2-hour drive for 17 million people, 4-hour drive for 68 million people, 6-hour
drive for 110 million people and finally about 2 hours flight for 400 million people.
The site has a good transport links. Paris is already attractive for tourism. European
people take more vacation than American people for example and finally they said
that the government was ready to give financial initiatives.
