Subject: ‘The issue of applying tack coat over prime coat - Reminder
Please refer to the Ministry's circular of even no. dated 23-02-2015 on the subject
mentioned above. As stated in the czeular, Ministry has recived a reference fom Prof Prithvi
Singh Kandhal regarding deletion of Tack Coat over the Prime Coat mentioning that itis
Fundamentally unnecessary and eases shoce wastage of public money. Hence, the Ministry is
deliberating over the issue to come out with amended guidelinescircular in the matter atthe
carlest. In this regand, the Ministry had requested feedback/commentinputs of the
Jimplementing agencies for taking « decision atthe earliest. However, no response am the
