Background
“Decommissioning of offshore installations”, The Climate and Pollution Agency,
May 2010/ translated February 2011.

NPD invited autumn 2010 the Climate and Pollution Agency and the Petroleum Safety Authority
(PSA) to cooperate in a joint study regarding decommissioning of concrete substructures on the NCS.

Study content
The project will study the technical, environmental and safety aspects regarding
 Refloating
 Leave in place
 Transportation
 Decommissioning onshore

On behalf of NPD Dr.techn.Olav Olsen has studied technical challenges regarding refloating and
transportation of fixed concrete substructures.

NPD will publish a request for a study at www.doffin.no

substructures”. Budget is 500.000 inclusive VAT.
