Well I think the buck stops at the DA’s office. A police officer can only make arrests…essentially
he Police Department is responsible for arrests on alleged charges. The DAs Office ultimately
the crimes and if they don’t prosecute you can’t blame the cops. I think this whole
goes to the DAs office and the mayor for being irresponsible in shifting blame.

Did Esther Lee cough? What happened before the spit and statement? That makes a lot of
ifference. On the other hand, often police supervisors are reassigned because a superior
upervisor did not appreciate the way a matter was handled. Often they are blamed for things
have no control of. At times the victims of the shark eating contest at 1PP overcome the
setback and even make it to deputy police commissioner. Some do not. This is the
we have chosen.

Lee was blamed for carrying the covid virus by the attacker. Looks like a hate crime to me.

The hate crimes unit has become another arm of the far left narrative that all whites are racist.
nd that narrative just isn’t true! But you see it works for the politicians like adams , but
there’s is an honest conversation on race and hate crimes !

I haven't seen this Mayor do one thing good for NYC. I hope Ms. Corey fights this to the end. I
our Mayor might be a racist.

If Esther Lee's version was correct then why it was not a hate crime? What finally happened to

I personally believe it is difficult to pursue hate crime charges in case of spitting on and being
alled a “carrier” on the subway. But law enforcement should tell that in public and face the

I actually had the pleasure of knowing Jessica when she was in rank of Captain years ago and
he was not a pleasant women. She was extremely condescending towards anyone ranked
her and she was also very incompetent. I don't like Mayor Adams but I truly believe she
this to herself. Just Saying!

Good for her; it appears that all necessary steps were taken. The Inspector sought advice from
he Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the NYPD Legal Bureau. Inspector Corey is being
as a scapegoat by Mayor Adams for his ineffectiveness in stopping crimes against Asians.

Just another attack on a woman by a black male racist. "The failed mayor" ,is either attacking
omen or white civil servants after dedicating their working lives to NYC. The "Failure"is on
march against all middle class New Yorkers!

Adams is an empty suit. Once anyone with intelligence challenges him his true colors as an
mbecile come out. Just look at the immigrant crisis. The fool is in over his head. lf all of the
brass in the Pollice Department would call him out on it he would have nowhere to hide.

I’m sorry to say but I think De Blasio did a better job than Adams. De Blasio kept it real in what
believed in. Adams seems more like a two face.

I have to agree with mayor Adams on this one. Why was the Hate Crime Inspector Jessica
orey so reluctant to call it a hate crime when several blacks assailants attacked Asians? You
always blame white people!
