Project Context:
Forecasting is a method used to estimate what could likely to happen most especially in the field
of business. A sales forecast is a projected measure of how a market will respond to a company’s go-to-
market efforts. Anaplan [2]. By analyzing the presented historical records, the customer demand pattern
can extract and come up with a better decision making for the supply. It ia crucial to implement at any
organizations, for it will predict the future sales of a business. Since every year there's a new business
rise, as an owner it is a natural to be competitive in all aspects. It is important to understand the business
so that the owner will react according business needs. The ability to adequately predict demand by the
participants in a supply chain is vital to the survival of businesses. R.A Carbonnaneau, et al [1]. An
accurate forecast for the supply and demand will help the business to have a proper budgeting and have a

identify which month has the highest sales because of that the risk of producing lots of products in every
month can avoid. This helps to ensure the high revenue and improvement of the business.
The business Malierenzie Manufacturing established in the year 2012 by Mr. and Mrs. Trinidad
would be good practice for forecasting sales. Upon establishing Mr. and Mrs. Trinidad provided a One
hundred (100) thousand pesos for the machines and Five (5) thousand pesos for rental every month,
shovel, cement, hollow block molder etc. to run this business. As of now their hollow blocks is for pick
up only but they planning to buy a truck to expand the number of customers who can buy their products.
They choose this kind of business because it was very profitable in construction field. The biggest
advantage of this business is that they know a customer who have a hardware business and they are the
one who supplied them. The owner of this business is Mrs. Rosita Trinidad. So far, they only have one
This research would like to know if all of the monthly stock of hallow blocks of Malierenzie
Manufacturing is distributed to all of the client. This research aims to provide an effective Forecasting
Sales for Malierenzie Manufacturing business, so that the business will know when is the best month to
produce more hollow blocks based on the presented data, and to implement the study to the business.
This is beneficial to Malierenzie Manufacturing because they will have a better plan and it could increase
their revenue per month, they could understand the business more.

The content of this study is all about the Sales Performance of the Malierenzie Manufacturing
from year 2017 to 2022, Through this study we can find out which month in each year the hollow blocks
product becomes marketable. Also, through this study we can determine how the Malierenzie
manufacturing will continue to grow in the future. Forecasting the sales of the company have a great
impact to the development of the business because we can determine the entire operating rythm of the
Malierenzie Manufacturing which helps the company to develop a better solution to avoid potential
This study helps the business to predict the demand of the product in each month of the year that
makes the business to come up with a plan to increase the stocks and staffs or to expand the business by
establishing another branch. Also, this study becomes beneficial to the company because by forecasting

1. To create a data dictionary for the data sets which are significant in the development of the analytics
model for Forecasting Sales performance of Malierenzie Manufacturing Using Machine Learning
Algorithm.
2. To correctly implement the preprocessing techniques best suited for the study.
3. To develop n analytics model using the most appropriate machine learning algorithm for the given data
sets.
5. To develop a system that will optimize the functions of the analytics model.
Scope:
This study is for Malerenzie Manufacturing. The main goal of this research is to figure out which
quarter of the year 2017-2022 has the most sales. Furthermore, this research shows how Malerenzie
Manufacturing's stock is distributed and allocated. The five-year historical data sets will be provided by
Malerenzie Manufacturing. This study will employ a machine learning algorithm to determine which
quarter has the highest sales. The findings of this study will only be applicable to the client because the
data sets used were produced from them. The expected outcome of this study is to present how to
improve and increase Malerenzie Manufacturing's sales using a machine learning algorithm.

Limitations:
The study will not cover the factors that are not connected to the Malierenzie Manufacturing
sales, production, distribution, cost and labor. The other problems of the business which do not fall as
part of the study will not be included in the research. The study will be done through the utilization of
Machine Learning Algorithm and previous data such as receipts and record books from the owner.
