Reasoning for lecturers’ version

Internal sales order to customer
The customer gets a copy of the order as it is an agreement between the two parties as well as to
check that what the customer has ordered is correctly reflected on the internal sales order.

Internal sales order to warehouse

The warehouse gets a copy of the ISO so that it can prepare a picking slip so that the warehouse can
pick the goods so that it is ready for dispatch.

Alternatively, sales department does not send an ISO to the warehouse and prepares a picking slip
that it only sends to the warehouse. (I would discourage this option).

One picking slip in warehouse

The picking slip is used to accompany the goods to the dispatch area where the goods are counted
and a delivery note is created. The picking slip will be attached to the warehouse copy of the delivery
note as all documents created have supporting documents.
