Should we be worried about terrorism, war in Ukraine and the threat of pandemic at
this very moment? Why or why not?
We should be worried about terrorism, war in Ukraine and the threat of pandemic.
Reading and learning about these contemporary issues, they all have one thing in common and
that is they all pose as a big threat to not only my future but to also the future of the entire
human race. Although we are geographically located far away from Ukraine, we could still feel
its effects. Russia is known as one of the biggest exporter of oil and oil products and since we
have become dependent on these product, the economy is also affected. As for terrorism, the
rebellious ways of some groups pose a great threat for the safety of many people. They abuse
their power and continue to force their beliefs on others, threatening lives if they refuse to
obey, which is an act against human rights. Lastly, the pandemic. When this first took effect
many, lost their jobs, their loved one and lives. We all had to adjust to quarantine the working
and studying at home, how we had to sanitize everything and to become more careful when it
come to our health. The pandemic was and is a threat to the economy, lifestyle and life. Each
of these issues have different effects and it is scary to think that these effects will drastically
affect every individual’s future.
