List down and discuss natural resources obtain from tropical forest .

Tropical forest is one of the sources of valuable and neccessary products in

human life some of this natural resources are gold , precious metals and
gemstones and also trees that can be use in making furnitures . Gold , precious
metals and gemstones will cause billions or millions of dollars if you will sell it
because many jewerly making companies will buy it to turn into necklaces , rings
and earrings because of it's shiny , smooth and transparent appearances and
how rare it is to find , many people will try to dig deeper just to get this natural
resources and will lead to the destruction of the forest because of mining .
Another natural resources that people really need in order to build houses and
furniture is trees as of today the number of trees in tropical forest is decreasing
because of illegal deforestation and forest fires . There are many amazing things
to be found on our tropical forests around the world but no matter how big their
numbers are if we don't take care of it it will eventually vanished .

A. Describe the forest change in Davao Oriental .(please indicate your sources)

Davao Oriental had 345 Kha of natural forest in 2010 , extending over 88% of it's
land area . But it lost 1. 43 kha of natural forest , equivalent to 89kt of CO2 of
emissions in 2020 . In Davao Oriental , the top 2 regions were responsible for
52% of all tree cover loss between 2001 and 2020 ( Davao Oriental , Philippines

 B. Give 3 examples of invasive species found in the country and describe how
they affect endemic species .

Invasive species are capable of causing extinctions of native plants and animals
reducing biodiversity , competing with native organisms for limited resources
and altering habitats . This will result in huge economic impacts and
fundamental disruptions of coastal and Great Lakes ecosystem some of it's
examples are water hyacinth , Nutria and Brown tree snake.

C. Discuss the importance of natural fire .

Fire is a natural phenomenon and nature has evolved with it's presence . Fire
removes low-growing underbrush , cleans the forest floor of debris , opens it up
to sunlight and nourishes the soil and also many ecosystem benefits from
periodic fires because they clear out dead organic material and some plant and
animal populations require the benefits fire brings to survive and reproduce .

D. Describe the forest ecosystem change of the Philippines ?

Changes in climate are affecting the forests and it's ability to deliver it's
environmetal services . Climate change and Philippine forests are directly linked
to each other . In the same way , degradation of the forest resources results to
emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which contribute to climate
change and also because of the Philippines is estimated to have declined from
12 million hectares in 1960 to current level of about 5.7 million hectares .

E. Describe the concrete actions of the Philippine Government to protect our

remaining forest?

The Philippine Government create laws to protect our remaining forest like the
Environmental Protection and Enforecement Bureau (EPEB) of DENR shall be
mandated to carry out environmental law enforcement in the Philippines
including territorial waters , exclusive economic zones ,continental shelf and

 other areas where Philippine sovereignity exercised and salient features of

This bill mandates sustainable and national development of forest land
resources as well as protection of existing forest resources and conservation of
biodiversity and their organizations that implement on tree planting ,leading
clean up drive and protecting wildlife.
