Functionality

● Pneumatic clamping using Destaco power cylinder


● Robot deployable via tool changer interface
● Load cell to measure clamp force
● Check valve to sustain pressure and clamping when disconnected
● Measurement of final clamp stroke to measure stack height
● Self normalizing clamp foot
○ Spherical bearing or swivel foot, load capacity at least 2000 lbs.

Specifications

● 1350 lbf clamping using Destaco power cylinder (WK-600 series)


● Stroke length to be 15mm normal stroke, 6mm power stroke (WK-600-15-6-)
● Target clamp stack height is 1”
● Stack height measurement resolution 1/64” or greater
○Analog cylinder sensor
○Measurement sensor
● ATI QC 40 robotic tool changer
● Air and electrical pass-throughs on tool changer
● Aladco Check Valve
● Futek compact pancake style load cell or similar (~2000 lb capacity)
● Minimize overall footprint and weight to greatest extent possible
● Metric fasteners and hardware where applicable
