Alcuin of York

His place and exact date are unknown probably in the 730

He entered the cathedral school of York and was exposed to the ecclesiastical writers

In 766 he was named professor of the school of York

In 781 he met Charlemagne and he was permitted by his English superiors to transfer to France and
teach there he taught liberal arts and organized the system of education.

He founded palace of school of Aachen

Alcuin was well known for his peda
