In the past decade, global warming has been one of the most talked about topics.

Though there
are those who deny its existence, the effects of global warming are very real and are being felt
by people all over the world. The science behind this phenomenon is solid, and there is no
doubt that it is happening. This essay will examine the effects of global warming in the past 10
years and the science behind this.

There is no denying that the Earth has been going through some changes lately. The average
temperatures have been rising, and extreme weather conditions have become more common.
These changes can be directly linked to global warming, which is caused by an increase in
greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. These gases trap heat from the sun and cause the Earth's
temperature to rise.

The most obvious effect of global warming is on the environment. As temperatures rise, so
does the ocean level. This causes flooding in coastal areas and makes storms more destructive
than ever before. In addition, melting ice caps are causing animals like polar bears to lose their
homes and putting them at risk for extinction. Plants and trees are also feeling the effects of
climate change as droughts become more common and water becomes scarce.

While environmental effects are certainly worrying, they pale in comparison to what global
warming is doing to humans. Heatwaves have become more frequent and intense, leading to
hundreds of deaths each year. Air quality is deteriorating as smog forms in cities where
pollution levels are high. And diseases like malaria are making a comeback as mosquitoes
thrive in warmer climates
