Animal Farm is a allegoric novel that was written by George Orwell and it was

published in 1945.
In Orwell opinion the book reflects on the events that led to the Russian
Revolution, to the era of Stalin of Soviet Union. The author, a democratic
socialist, was critical of Stalin and hostile to Stalinism, his attitude modeled on
his experiences during the Spanish Civil War. Orwell author described "Animal
farm" like a satirical narrative against Stalin said that The Animal Farm was the
first book in which he attempted to merge purpose and artistic purpose into one.
The novel is about a farm run by Jones, a factor from which one should not take
example because he was always drunk and did not interest much about his animals. At
the beginning of the book the animals, inspired by the speech of the old major
(older pig), did a revolt and chased Jones away and wrote the following seven
commandments that served to enshrine the animal's life rules:
• Whatever that goes on two legs is enemy
• Whatever that goes on four legs or has wings is friend
• No animal will wear clothes
• No animal will sleep in a bed
• No animal will drink alcohol
• No animal will kill another animal
• All animals are equal
Slowly the animals begin to not get along completely and the pigs take the farm's
power. When Jones returns, he shows up with a group of factors like him/himself, so
a war broke out, won with difficulty by the animals that suffered many losses. The
pig at the head of everything remained Napoleon. It agrees with Frederick, who pays
him with fake money, so a war breaks out with serious injuries, including the
Gondrano horse that was sold to the butcher so that Napoleon could buy himself some
whiskey. After years he makes build another mill, but the animals have aged and
farmer Jones is dead. So, the farm earnings were not like those of the first mill.
The Farm was morally upset, so it no longer had any revolutionary ideals. But the
worst thing was that the seven commandments have become only two:
• All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others
• Four good legs, two better legs
Pigs increasingly resemble humans, they begin to walk on two legs. The other
animals seeing pigs playing poker with humans and making alliances, they couldn’t
tell who was a pig or who was human.

This is the flag in the cover of the book that depicts a horn and a leg crossed
representing the fern and the hammer.
