Q. How will the exploitation of resources affect humans?

Introduction
The human population is evolving and due to the advancements made in
industries our access to natural resources has improved. According to the Global
Resources Outlook (2019) the extraction of resources has more than tripled
since 1970 and there is a 45% increase in fossil fuel use. By 2060, global
material use could double to 190 billion tonnes, while greenhouse gas emissions
could increase by 43%. In this report we will get to know how countries around
the world are managing their natural resources and how we can contribute to
Pakistan’s sustainable development goal.

Issues
As many countries around the world develop, more resources are used and
mainly not in a sustainable way. Fossil fuels, including coal, oil and natural gas,
are the most exploited resource, they take hundreds of years to form but just a
few weeks to get through. Not only this but they cause harmful effects to the
environment such as damaging the ozone layer and releasing harmful gases that
Cause many detrimental effects to public health. The UN has also made a call to
cut the use of cars by 90% over the next decade in Britain. The use of electric
cars is suggested but that will also bring upon new issues
