CARS OF THE PAST VERSUS CARS OF THE FUTURE

In the past, cars as such didn´t exist, it was pulled by animals, mainly horses. But this changed
when, in 1888, Karl Benz designed the first motorised vehicle reaching 18 km/h.

Automobiles had three eras:

- Steam-powered automobiles

- Petroleum-fuelled automobiles

- Electric cars

Thanks to these advances, the first automobile construction companies were created at the
end of the 19th century. In addition, the first car races were organised. Cars began to be used
every day and we were able to travel to more places.

In the future, cars will be very different from the ones we know, we are going to be in flying
cars and self-driving cars.

There will be many advantages: there will be zero traffic jams like there are today, the cars will
be safer than today's cars, and most importantly, they will not pollute.

But there are disadvantages... the cars will be like robots and would hardly be driven by
people.
