MRI OF THE RIGHT KNEE:-


The study was performed on high field MR unit
Technique:-
1). Sagittal PD, MW & T2 WIs
2). Coronal T1 & FS T2* WIs
3). Axial T2* WIs
4). Axial 3D FAT SAT (Meniscal View)
Findings :
 Lateral patellar subluxation is noted.
 The PHMM shows bright signal which could either represent a meniscal contusion or
represent meniscal vascularity for clinical correlation.
 No lateral meniscal tear or degeneration.
 Intact anterior and posterior cruciate as well as medial and lateral collateral ligaments.
 Normal appearance of the quadriceps & patellar tendons.
 Intact osseous structures of the knee joint with normal MR signal intensity of their
bone marrow.
 Normal thickness of the articular cartilage.
 Normal periarticular soft tissue structures.
 Mild knee joint effusion.

OPINION:-
 Lateral patellar subluxation.
 The PHMM shows bright signal which could either represent a meniscal contusion or
represent meniscal vascularity for clinical correlation.
 Mild knee joint effusion.
