Nancy Drew:The Secret of the Old Clock

Nancy Drew lives at River Heights with her father, Lawyer Carson Drew and their housekeeper,
Hanna Gruen.While driving through town,she saw a little girl almost hit by a van,though she fell
over the bridge.

Nancy rescued her and takes the little girl,whose name is Judy,home.There she meets her
aunts/guardians Mary and Edna Turner.They chatted a bit,the aunts opens up to Nancy about
their problems with money and a will that was promised to them by their cousin Josiah
Crowley,though he died a few months earlier so the money went to the Tophams,their other
cousins.

This made Nancy wonder if there is a later will that Mr. Crowley made.so she started to
investigate it,she talked to Mr. Crowley's other relatives including Abby Rowen,the cousin of Mr
Crowley's wife.Abby said Mr. Crowley mentioned something about a will and a clock.She
wondered where she could find the clock and came to a conclusion that maybe she'll find it at
the tophams vacation cabin so she visited it.She tried to peek and enter inside the cabin and
sees that most of the furnitures are gone.Just then, three guys return to the cabin,the same men
from the van who almost hit Judy.She tried to hide in a closet but the guys spotted her and
locked her inside it.

Later on,the caretaker of the cabin came and freed her.They reported it to the police who helped
her follow the van.She saw the van hidden off the road and she sneaked into the back of it
where at last,she saw the clock.She notified the police and helped them arrest the thieves.

She found a journal inside it.In Crowley's entries,he writes that he hid his will in a safe-deposit
box. With her father’s help, Nancy gets the will and informs the Turners and the other relatives
of Mr. Crowley that they've been left a large amount of money that'll help their financial
problems.
