face à ce handicap qui ne se voit pas et ne se soigne
pas. Sabine est allée à la rencontre de Marie,
quotidien. Elle a suivi le travail d'orthophonistes et
d'éducatrices sourdes qui offrent à de jeunes enfants
sourds une éducation véritablement bilingue. Elle a
pris un cours de langue des signes avec Frédéric et
nous offre quelques bases pour comprendre cette
langue gestuelle si mystérieuse pour les entendants.
Dans son camion-laboratoire, Jamy nous explique
l'aspect médical de la surdité: Quelles différences y a-
t-il entre mutisme et surdité? Comment l'oreille
humaine fonctionne-t-elle ? Que se passe-t-il quand
on est sourd ? Quels sont les différents niveaux de
surdité ? Comment les prothèses auditives
fonctionnent-elles ? Qu'est-ce qu'un implant
