4.1.2 Cables
▪ Connection and re-connections can now be made via dragging and dropping from
ports.
▪ The Connect Dialog has been enhanced to show a preview and details about the
connection prior to it being made.
▪ Enhanced cable template modelling with support for Direct Attach Cables.
▪ Enhanced cable modelling with support for cable slack loops in locations.

4.1.3 Equipment
▪ When equipment is moved to different cabinets or locations, there is now an option to
automatically disconnect the cabling associated with the equipment.
▪ There is now a function available to bulk move connections from one equipment to
another.
▪ There is now a global preference to configure whether the cabinet U position of
equipment larger than 1U is interpreted in cabinets according to ascending or de-
scending U units.
▪ There is now an option in equipment templates to specify an image for the front and
rear covers of the equipment.
4.1.4 Cabinets
▪ A rotation value can now be specified in when creating cabinets from the New Cabi-
nets dialog.
4.1.8 Navigation
▪ Graphical overviews have been enhanced with a breadcrumb navigation option.
▪ Graphical overview toolbars now have a button option to 'Show in Locations' and
'Show in Templates'.
▪ Graphical overview toolbars now have a button option to 'Find In' the location or cabi-
net(s).
▪ The main window now has an option for users to bookmark overviews and to navi-
gate to bookmarked overviews.
4.1.10 Reporting
▪ Reports now additionally display counts of the number of report results returned in
each report section.
▪ Port Searches and Data Formats have been enhanced with fields for Connected
Ports (Left) and Connected Ports (Right).
▪ Cabinet Searches and Data Formats have been enhanced with additional fields relat-
ing to space availability and usage.
▪ The Route field of Cable Data Formats has been enhanced with additional options for
formatting locations, conduits and equipment.
▪ The Coordinates data format field has been enhanced with an option to render an ob-

4.1.11 Sequences
▪ Sequences now support the counter being specified to use hexadecimal form.
4.1.13 Templates
▪ There is a new option available from templates in the templates tree to 'Show Com-
patible Modules' and 'Show Compatible Chassis.
▪ Enhanced equipment templates with an option to not show the slot nodes in the loca-
tions tree for instances of the template. In this case, modules in the equipment ap-
pear in the tree directly under the equipment itself.
▪ Enhanced equipment templates with an option to not show the equipment -side
nodes in the locations tree if there are no ports or slots on an equipment-side.
▪ Connector templates have been enhanced with rendering options for partially con-
nected cables.
▪ Equipment templates have been enhanced with additional options for label appear-
ance and positioning.
▪ Equipment templates that support splicing now have an option to specify a maximum
splice capacity (in terms of number of splices) for the splicing equipment. If specified,
this capacity will be prevented from being exceeded when creating new splices.
▪ Cabinet templates now provide additional options for specifying the font of the cabinet
label on the inside and outside of the cabinet, and the font of the U position number-
ing text.
▪ Template dialogs now have the template name appended to the title of the dialog.
▪ Cabinet templates now support an option that determines whether the U position
numbering is rendered on the left side of the cabinet, the right side of the cabinet, or
both sides of the cabinet.
▪ The design window for equipment templates now supports a user preference option
to view the slot labels on the template.
4.1.14 Configurations
▪ Location Configurations now support an option to add the contents of the location ra-
ther than the location itself.
▪ Labels and attribute values on Configuration objects now support variables that users
can populate when adding instances of the Configuration.
4.1.15 Properties
▪ The properties window now supports shortcut buttons to export the properties to CSV
or PDF.
4.1.18 Splicing
▪ Enhanced splicing overviews with an option to display cable element attributes.
▪ The splicing overview now supports filtering of which cables to view.
▪ The splicing overview now supports a configuration option for displaying notes and
loss values in the splicing diagram.
▪ The cable attach function has been enhanced with an option to attach both ends of
the cable in one step.
4.1.22 Monitors
▪ A new function is available to periodically monitor user-defined conditions on objects,
and trigger events (sending email, running script, generating report, setting user at-
tributes) if the conditions are met.
4.1.24 Rules
▪ Enhanced rule effects to support setting an image on ports.
▪ A new Rule effect is available for controlling the background color of equipment in the
Block View view type.
▪ A new Rule effect is available for controlling displaying cabinets in a major/minor

11.2.7 Reporting
▪ Support for generating bar / line / pie charts.
▪ Extension of the reporting engine to support reports consisting of multiple tabular and chart
formats.
▪ Extended the Searches and Data Formats function to allow reporting on end -to-end connec-
tion length from ports using either:
- the cable lengths specified in the cable templates
- the cable lengths auto-calculated via the distance between the ports that the cables con-
nect.
- the cable lengths specified in a user attribute of the cables
▪ Searches can now have a 'has a value' constraint to filter out/ include blank or empty prop-
erty or attribute values.
▪ Searches / Data Formats now support the 'cable-element index' field which refers to the in-
dex of a cable-element within a multi-element cable. An example if the fiber strand or pair
index within a trunk cable.
▪ Searches / Data Formats now support Slots objects, for example to report on the number of
free slots in a device.
▪ An option in Data Formats to allow control of whether special characters in the Data Format
output (such as open and close bracket symbols) should be escaped or not when exported.
▪ Searches / Data Formats for Ports, Equipment, Cable and Cabinets now support getting a
handle on the Work Order that the objects belongs in. For example, to report on all devices
that are in Work Orders that are not yet executed in the field.
▪ Cabinet Data Formats now support a field to represent the 'U range' that an equipment occu-
pies in a cabinet.
▪ Cabinet Data Formats now support a field to represent 'Available U Positions' which displays
the range of available U positions in a cabinet.
▪ It is now possible to specify that Searches are periodically run to generate snapshots of data
for future use in trending. For example, a periodic snapshot of the power consumption within
a data center.
▪ Searches / Data Formats now support the underlying database ID of an object as a con-
straint / display field.
▪ Implemented support for Dial type charts (in reports and annotations).
▪ Implemented option to define thresholds to appear on charts.
▪ Implemented that Bar Charts can now optionally be made stacked and horizontal.
▪ Extended Charts to support numeric data format fields such as #Free Ports.

11.2.12 Resources
▪ Resource values of objects whose template default value has been overridden in the obje ct
instance are rendered in blue in the property sheet (to make it clear to the user that they
have a non-default value).
▪ Resource default values in templates can now be imported/exported via CSV format.
▪ Default values for resources can now be configured in the template dialogs in addition to the
resources overview.
11.2.14 Templates
▪ There is a new template type 'Conduits' available to model objects through which cables are
routed such as trenches, ducts and pathways.
▪ Cabinet templates now have an option to specify that how equipment in instances of the
cabinet should be sorted (either according to the equipment label or according to the vertical
position of the equipment).
▪ For equipment templates, the 'Overview expression' property now applies to cabinet and
equipment overviews instead of just to location overviews.
▪ Cable templates now support 'Cable-element identifiers' whereby the default label of the ca-
ble-element can be overridden with a user-specified expression.
▪ Implemented support for 'Configurations' templates which are intended for 'compound tem-
plate' modeling, such as built-out equipment chassis and standard rack configurations.

11.2.22 General
▪ Implemented a global preference' Delete Confirmation Count' to make accidental deletes
less likely. If the number of objects to be deleted is more than a global preference number
then a second confirmation dialog listing the number and type of objects that will be deleted
is provided.
