9.1 Release Notes

9.1.1 R&MinteliPhy Monitor Bridge

▪ Extended support for Analyzer Remote Display: work orders and alarms are now only dis-
played in the cabinet where a work order / an alarm is pending if an Analyzer or Remote Dis-
play is present in this cabinet.
▪ Added a feature to turn all LEDs on all ports on that are involved in a particular End -to-End
connection.
▪ Split the combined R&MinteliPhy Monitor Bridge / OpenConnector installer into two separate
ones (one installer for the R&MinteliPhy Monitor Bridge and one installer for OpenCon-
nector) to allow independent upgrades of the Bridge and OpenConnector.
▪ Added support for Module IDs in the Bridge, allowing for modular managed devices with sev-
eral slots in the same U. The same mechanism also covers installations where managed
panels are mounted in front and rear of a cabinet at the same U position.
▪ Added support for user-defined labels when intelligent cables are used in Work Orders.
▪ Fixed a problem that caused Work Orders not to auto-complete if the transition to "Sent to
Hardware" was done with a mobile device.

9.1.2 Location Overviews

▪ Feature to support retrieving location background maps from mapping servers that use the
Web Map Service (WMS) protocol or the Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) protocol. This is in
addition to the current support for Open Street Maps (OSM) and ESRI mapping servers.
▪ The option to preserve the size of objects when zooming in Map based overviews has been
extended to also include cable objects.
▪ Feature to support zooming on a location to the point that is a user specified distance along
and end-to-end connection from a port.
▪ Implemented a location overview option to show/hide conduit labels.
▪ Enhanced location overviews with 3D rendering.
▪ Enhanced the configuration of Map based location overviews with an option to use the
mouse wheel directly for zooming.

or cable groups.
▪ Enhanced the locations tree to render cable buffer tube colors (for loose tube cables).
▪ Enhanced cable overviews to support a check-box for selecting to view user attribute values
on the cable-elements (strands) of cables.
▪ Enhanced cable labeling schemes to support 'left' and 'right' expressions where 'left' and
'right' refer to the side of the cable as defined in the cable template.

aged in terms of its three-dimensional coordinates.
▪ Feature to support relabeling multiply selected cables.
▪ Feature to support directly reconnecting a 'dangling' cable from a port.
▪ Extension to action options available on multiply selected ports: Disconnect All, Disconnect
All Cables, Delete All Cables, Disconnect All Complete Connections.
▪ Enhanced the locations tree to include cable buffer tubes as a sub-level in the tree.
▪ Enhanced cable buffer tube instances to allow overriding the cable template specified buffer
tube label at instance level.

18.1 Release Notes

System release 1.4 contains the following changes:
▪ In the mouse-over of selected ports in the Connection Details toolbar, the distance cal-
culation between the ports is now based on the direct distance between them. The re-
sults are also now presented in meters if the Metric preference is set and Feet if the
'US' preference is set. Distances are presented to one decimal place, rounded up.
▪ The Find function has been enhanced to support 'Simple' find and 'Advanced' find, via
a check box in the Find dialog. 'Advanced' find is the same as the previous Find func-
tion. The objects to search and match on for the 'Simple' Find are specified as a global
preference (via File->Preferences).
▪ A global preference (via File->Preferences) has been added to specify whether the
'Auto-complete' function in the Find dialog is enabled or not.
▪ An option to set user permissions for Exporting/Printing has been implemented in the
user policies function.
▪ Fixed an issue whereby the Filters function was not working correctly in cabinet over-
views that contained modular equipment.
▪ Implemented a feature whereby shortcut buttons appear in the Main Window toolbar
for launching any configured external applications. The buttons automatically acquire
the icon of the application to be launched.
▪ Code is now digitally signed with "Reichle & De-Massari AG"
