Introduction
Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a biodegradable and
biocompatible polymer that has gained increasing
importance for various biomedical applications, such
as drug delivery, tissue engineering, and wound
dressings. In this study, PCL films were fabricated
using the solvent casting method and modified with a
surface hydrolysis with a solution of sodium
hydroxide. The wettability and surface roughness
(SEM) of the films were evaluated to assess their
potential as biomaterials. The biological response of
the films was also studied in vitro using cell culture
techniques. This report presents the results of these
studies and discuss their implications for the use of
PCL films in biomedical applications.
