Please detail, your two most significant achievements.

These could be either professional or personal but relevant to your application to the ISB. (300 words max) My first achievement pertains to my professional life when I took upon the responsibility to set up A.T. Kearney s Indian Research team. This involved a host of activities in addition to research such as managing clients, designing and implementing procedures and managing database budgets running into millions of rupees. Moreover, within a year of operations the Indian team has the highest billable utilisations amongst all research teams for A.T. Kearney in the world. Also, my team has been able to add significant value to all assignments at A.T. Kearney India, with meaningful and ground level insights on even the most niche projects. As a result of my achievements I was amongst the few people in the firm to be promoted within a year and was also awarded the highest possible raise in less than six months of joining. The second achievement which i wish to share is from my school days when I had identified public speaking and communication skills as something i had to improve upon , and add to my skill set. This was in standard eighth, and from then on I worked really hard to enhance my skills and enrol led for the public speaking and debate club at my school. After nearly two years of constant efforts, I realised my dream and represented all Delhi Public Schools in a debate which was aired live on NDTV. I shared the platform with people like Mr. Salman Khurshid and Ms.BarkhaDutt, this was one of the key moments of my life as it summarised a three year long journey for me which taught me a lot. Moreover, i have been able to successfully carry this forward at the workplace with successive wins at the annual Rocsearch Quiz, and i nowconduct training sessions for new consulting recruits from IIMs and the ISB at A.T. Kearney on effective research practices. Where do you see yourself three years after you graduate from the ISB? (300 words max) Over the past three years, I have moulded my career towards management consulting, and have invested significant time and effort to develop skills and relationships at A.T. Kearney. For more than a year now, I have been involved in each and every auto sector project at the firm in India. I have been able to experience every stage of a consulting assignment from proposals to working on implementation with our clients. After graduating from ISB, I would want to rejoin A.T. Kearney s Auto practice, as a consultant. This would be a natural progression from my current role of a research specialist. I firmly believe that I would be in a very strong position to excel as a consultant given my familiarity with the firm and the practice. With this knowledge and experience along with the valuable skills that I gain at ISB,I see myself as a manager at A.T. Kearneywithin three years of graduating from ISB. As an effective professional i intend to involve myself not only in client and people management but also in networking with potential clients and helping out Indian corporates to solve their most challenging and complex issues. Management education from ISB would be instrumental in equipping me to achieve this goal, as I hope to gain the essential skills of strategic thought and networking. Sharing a classroom with the best brains of the country and the world would not only nourish the way I think, but would also allow me to build long lasting relationships with India s future business leaders. Moreover my short term goal is in line with my long term aspirations of becoming a partner
Comment [SC2]: Delete the comma!!

Comment [SC1]: I think you should remove this as it is not related to communication skills. Add BLOOMBERG training. Interpersonal Skills??

with a strategy consulting firm like A.T. Kearney. Though this goal is ambitious, it is in no way unachievable with the right skills, effort and dedication.

Please provide additional information, that will significantly affect the consideration of your application to the ISB. (300 words max) Emotional sensitivity: I have pursued my education from two very different cities in India. While i spent my initial school days at St. Joseph s, Allahabad, one of the first schools in India with over 100 years of heritage, i pursued my high school and graduation from Delhi public school and College of business studies in New Delhi. These experiences have equipped me to understand and realise that every individual has unique issues, aspirations and priorities. I consider this ability to be of paramount importance for making people comfortable around me and for bringing out the best of people in a team environment. I am sure i would be able to form strong professional and personal bonds with my classmates at ISB, and would also allow me to seek and provide cooperation more effectively. Ethics and Community service:I firmly believe in contributing to the society, and have been doing my bit with small but important contributions. Apart from regular activities such as donating blood, encouraging and assisting my neighbours to vote and sponsoring a local resident initiative to keep the streets clean, the cause for education is the closest to my heart. I have actively helped Radika, the elder son of my family s domestic help, in his education. In addition to teaching him social studies and maths occasionally, my biggest contribution has been to encourage him to excel in academics. I also believe strongly in ethical integrity, something which is key in the research profession. My organisation works with different players in the same industry and as the research focal point i often have access to information which cannot not be shared with different teams. One of the first processes that i helped institute made it necessary to have a written approval from the client officer before any project information could be shared by the research team with any other client team.

Comment [SC3]: Try to highlight what exactly is so contrasting about delhi and Allahabad. In what ways it added to you interpersonal skills

Comment [SC4]: Verbose. I know what you are trying to say but the paragraph is not conveying the central idea. Although I think it s a good point..the para gets very confusing
