Activity. Rewrite the text, adding a prefix or suffix in the words that need it to change the
meaning, so the story can make sense. Check the example.
I was very happy → unhappy because I was going to visit my uncle, and I hadn’t seen him in ages. It had
been impossible to visit him because he had been traveling around the world. But now, my parents had
decided to go with him. I wasn’t sure about what to wear because my uncle always wears formal clothes
and he sometimes gets angry when someone isn’t dressed like him, with t-shirts and jeans. So, this was
something that I didn’t like about him.
While we were on our way, I was really bored and I was so patient to finally arrive. It was an end
journey. When we finally got to my uncle’s house, I noticed that it was really color, it had like 5 different
colors on the front and like 8 colors inside. That was something usual because I remember that my uncle
was a boring person and also kind. I didn’t like him at all.
I remember I said hello to him and he was not polite as I was expecting. He offered us food and
something to drink and he really surprised me. He also told us that he decided to be a better person and to
help people, even home people.
My journey turned to be an excellent idea. Now I can say that I admire my uncle, he isn’t relevant for me
anymore.
