Hazard Recognition & Job Planning Safety Meetings 2-21-2023 We have unfortunately had too many high-profile incidents over the last several weeks. Here is a shor list of a few... + 3 separate dropped object incidents (6H shackle pin, 6,800# beam, 2.5# chisel bit) fortunately, no injuries + 2separate incidents with employees being injured while walking - walking is working + incident associated with improper use of a too! Our abilty to prevent incident from happening is often a matter of good job planning / recognizing hazards. > Get the right people involved to have the correct discussion about how to safely accomplish the work Correct tools, equipment, specific procedures, permit and PPE ate all interconnected pieces of a welkplanned job, > Clear communication is essential to executing a work task without an incident.
