The Oval Portrait

This story is told by a man, who arrived at an old but beautiful house in the woods
while he was hurting, in the middle of the night. He was laid down in a room by
Pedro, his servant; it was a room full of paintings, so he stayed up all night long
watching them and reading their stories, however, a specific painting called for his attention;
he got close and an oval painting of a young woman was seen by him, he couldn’t believe
what he was seeing, the girl looked significantly real, therefore, he
kept on watching it for a few hours, until he got frightened for some reason. He
looked into the story about it, and realized… the picture was painted by a famous artist who
married a happy woman, this woman; except he was also married with painting; because of
this, the girl felt left out. One day he insisted on painting her, she agreed. The days went by,
and she did nothing else other than sitting there, it
got out so of hand, meanwhile, he was so focused, always working too, but he
wasn’t able to realize she was consequently getting weaker, as he completed his work, he
became angry and wild, and started bringing the color she lost and putting it in the picture;
she, in the same way, was losing her life. The work was finished by him on winter, and as
soon as he saw what he painted, he started crying out, It was incredibly real. Sadly, when
she was finally looked by him, she had passed away.
