A basic guide to reading a birth chart by Mario Flores- Mario Astral

To begin with, it is important to emphasize that the general reading order of the zodiac signs in
a natal chart is counterclockwise. This is due to the ecliptic, that means, the path of the sun
across the sky subdivided into the 12 signs of the zodiac

Aries ♈ Taurus ♉ Gemini ♊ Cancer♋ Leo♌ Virgo♍ Libra♎ Scorpio♏ Sagittarius♐

Capricorn♑ Aquarius ♒ and Pisces.

Each sign rules one month of the year, from the last 8-10 days per month to the firsts 20 days
for the next month

The order is arranged from Aries♈ to the end of March (beginning of spring) the reason, the
Roman calendar(Julian to be exact) previous to the current one.

For the Romans, Aries is represented by Mars (planet and God of war of this civilization),
therefore it was the beginning.

dynamism in the signs

the characteristics of the signs are made up of 2 things: a dynamism(cardinal, fixed & mutable)
and an element (fire, earth, air & water)

the dynamism of each sign coincides with a time of the season of the year that is its the
beginning, sprung and at the end of the Spring, Summer, Autumn & winter.
- Cardinal signs: natural leaders in their field, they are the beginning of the 4 seasons. They are:
Aries♈(spring), Cancer♋(the summer), Libra♎(autumn), Capricorn♑(winter).

- Fixed signs: stable signs due to the intermediate point of sprung of the seasons, they are
usually self motivated. They are Taurus ♉, Leo ♌, Scorpio ♏ and Aquarius♒.

- Mutable signs: versatile, adaptable and changeable by nature, this is because they match with
the end of each season. They are: Gemini♊, Virgo♍, Sagittarius♐ and Pisces♓.

the zodiacal order of the elements in the signs begins with fire, followed by earth, air and ends
with water.

- Fire: fire signs are characterized by being very strong-willed, warm, temperamental and jovial
(Aries♈, Leo♌ and Sagittarius♐).

-Earth: Earth signs are characterized by being firm, practical and stable in their convictions and
purposes (Capricorn ♑, Taurus ♉ and Virgo♍).

- Air: Air signs are those characterized by being mental, thoughtful and talkative (Libra♎,
Aquarius♒ and Gemini♊).

- Water: water signs are characterized by being sensitive and emotional (Cancer♋, Scorpio♏
and Pisces♓).

Polarity

This concept is mainly involved, as its name indicates, with the role that each zodiacal sign has
with its opposite.

that each zodiacal sign has with its opposite, that is, the signs that opposes it in the firmament.
At the astronomical level, the ecliptic of the earth is arranged in such a way that per each six
signs of distance, there is the respective opposite sign.

6 constellations away, there is the opposite of any of the twelve.

A basic rule of opposition of zodiacal signs is based on their elements:

air is opposed by fire and vice versa, water is opposed by earth and vice versa.

vice versa.

Ecliptical is a mental world of Brian, his intentions, Ascensional is a physics world of him, how it
is the execute of intentions, that is the principal different between the two-birth charts

planetary points and rulers

In ancient times the role of the planets (for the Romans) was that of gods. Of course, only
Neptune, Uranus and Pluto have been discovered late. So in principle they did not entered into
this but like every branch of knowledge, this was amplified with study and research.

How is this to be understood? I will appeal to the meaning given in classical Greco-Latin
antiquity to each planet as God.

Mars is Ares, the ancient God of war and aggression, represents where we concentrate our vital
energy, our physical resistance and our capacity for self-defense.

From this point on, we are dealing with two planets understood as "collective" because their
transit through each sign and return to the natal point is much later than their return to the
natal point.

Planetary Rulers

Aries♈ is ruled by Mars (hence the impulsive and vigorous nature of this sign).

Taurus ♉ by Venus (hence, in its own way, as an earth sign, Taurus is ruled by

strong aesthetic ideals involving personal care and pleasure).

Gemini ♊ by Mercury (a lot of vitality, communicative ability, sociability and

speed of thought, although it tends to be "out of control").

Cancer ♋ by the Moon (sensitivity and maternal spirit)

Leo ♌ by the Sun (sensitivity, magnetism and masculine courage)

Scorpio ♏ by Pluto (and formerly by Mars).

Sagittarius ♐ by Jupiter and North Node

Capricorn ♑ by Saturn

Aquarius♒ by Uranus (and formerly by Saturn).

Pisces♓ by Neptune (and formerly by Jupiter)
