Batman or Iron Man - Who is Richer?

What makes a superhero? Having superpowers right? Well, not all superheroes own
supernatural abilities. Sometimes, just being rich does the job. There are many
superheroes in comics who save the day thanks to their huge bank balance. When we
take into consideration all the comic characters with big networth to their name, two
people come in everyone's mind - Gotham's favorite son Bruce Wayne from DC
Universe and a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark from Marvel. These
two are among the wealthiest guys from their own universes. But who is the richest man
among the two? Who will come out with more money in their pockets if we put Batman
and Iron Man head to head? Let's find out.

How rich is Batman?

Our beloved defender of Gotham is the sole heir of the Wayne enterprises, which is
among the oldest companies in the DC universe. The company is huge and it has
subsidiaries extending towards almost every product and service one can imagine.
Wayne Airlines, Wayne Automotive, Wayne Biotech, Wayne Electronics, Wayne Energy,
Wayne Healthcare, Wayne Technologies, Wayne Security, Wayne Steel, and multiple
other companies that fall under the Wayne Enterprises, Batman owns them all.

The dark knight also owns the Wayne Foundation, which holds both the Thomas Wayne
Foundation and Martha Wayne Foundation. The Thomas Wayne Foundation aids
healthcare and gives awards similar to the Nobel Prize for breakthroughs and lifelong
commitment in the healthcare sector. The Martha Wayne Foundation helps run a
number of free schools and orphanages around the world.

Now, let's look at some of Batman's expenses. The world's greatest detective
single-handedly funds the entire justice league. He also provides money for smaller
teams like young justice and teen titans. Batman owns a vast number of expensive
vehicles, which includes his motorcycle, tank car and helicopter. He also owns many
powerful suits, like the justice buster and the hell bat suit. Wayne is also the owner of
the Wayne's Estate, a castle with a batcave inside. He also has multiple batcaves
around the world. The most expensive thing the caped crusader built was the
Watchtower, which would cost more than 150 billion dollars in the real world. It is ten
times bigger than any space station, has its own artificial gravity and multiple bases on
the moon. Bruce Wayne also spends a lot playing his billionaire playboy persona and
never faces a financial issue.

How rich is Iron man?

The Armored Avenger owns the Stark Industries, which is one of the best technological
companies in Marvel. Stark Industries, unlike Wayne Enterprises, specializes only in
defence. The company develops and manufactures defense technologies and
advanced weapons, like Disintegrator Rays, Nano reactors, Anti-Gravity Rays, Missiles,
Satellites, etc. The high tech weaponry built by the stark industries isn't up for sale to
everyone, and their main customer is usually the American government.

Tony Stark also owns 20 multinational subsidiary companies, like Acutech and Barstow
Electronics, which have come and gone over the years.

It's time to look at the Invincible Iron Man's expenses. Tony owns multiple iron man
suits, and Stark Industries manufactures every single one of them. The company also
manufactured all the War Machine suits, Quinjets used by the Avengers, and the
helicarriers used by the S.H.I.E.LD. Stark has also generously contributed to the
Avengers Initiative and built the Avengers Tower formerly known as the Stark Tower. A
billion dollar defense program for the safety of New York in Ironman's absence was also
created by him. He also spends a lot on incredible arc reactors, reactive jet reflectors,
and his many other toys. The genius philanthropist is no less than Bruce when it comes
to spending like a billionaire playboy and owns a number of beautiful ocean view villas
around the world.

And the richer superhero is - *Drumroll*

Batman! Yes, all the above information suggests than Bruce Wayne is wealthier than
Tony Stark.

Wayne Enterprises is a much more diversified company than Stark Technologies and
sells to the government and the public. Batman also finances the justice league and
many other teams individually, and iron man contributes a part of Avengers Initiative,
which is funded mostly by the federal government. The watchtower is also a big factor
contributing to Batsy's win.

But the fact is, it is all up to the writers in the end. They can make anyone of the two as
rich as possible if the plot demands it. Their wealth is a work of fiction and can be
increased endlessly.
