AVENGING ANGELO-NO WAY OUT-PART 1 Revenge is a dangerous game. Tit for tat is a fair game.

If your enemy hits your left cheek give him the right also. Revenge is a meal best served cold. Life is all about choices. The things we choose to look at. The perspectives at which we choose to look at them. Our choices in terms of action towards what we see. Then living the same choices we made as regards our actions or in-actions. Revenge is defined as a harmful action against a person or group in response to a grievance, be it real or perceived. A part of that definition thats missing is living with the consequences of the mode of revenge selected and actions taken. Throughout history women have played crucial behind the scenes role in defining society. They have been on both sides war and at times even the very reasons for the war. Some historical landmarks have been defined by women. For instance its a woman that tricked Isaac into blessing the younger son who later defines Israel as a nation. Its a woman, Esther, who stands up for a whole nation on threat of their imminent annihilation. Its a woman, Jezebel, who misled her husband and subsequently made a whole nation suffer years of famine. Its a woman that saw it fit to cleanse the feet of Christ with the most expensive oil not that then there lacked any rich or self righteous men. But still for some inexplicable reason men always dominated the news. In censuses the numerical number was always noted alongside men. For instance Christ fed 5000men, women and children. Not that the later had no numerical strength. I have reason to believe that women exceeded men by far in terms of numbers. Then, and even now, most public gatherings are dominated by women and children. Simply because most men will usually be at work-am not saying women dont work. And therefore I believe then, and now, the ratio of men to women in public gatherings is 1:2 or 2:3. But still the number of men took precedence. People have cheated in the past, and now, and still will do cheat in relationships. But again, this has remained an area where the role of women is designated to be in the background. Take me not wrongly. But facts remain what they are. A man will cheat severally and still remain married; a womans first attempt-maybe her first time being caught-will result in beatings or divorce. Picture Christ and the prostitute brought to the temple early in the morning. Apparently she was caught in the very act of committing adultery. The alleged followers of the law, men, some of whom were her clients, chanted the loudest. Awkward it seems, that once she was brought to Christ, the man she was caught with was not in the picture. Maybe he was carrying a stone in the crowd too. All scholars seemed fine with the context for no one has questioned why the man was not arrested.

The fact that they caught them in her house makes the man the bigger criminal. It was he that went to her not the other way round, but its she that faces the law. There these three situations I heard on radio Id like to share. 1. Seven (7) women married except two, gave their spouses the reason that they were travelling to the coast for a gal outing. They paid for the travel expenses of a total stranger to either of them. At night, they all, naked, did whatever sexual fantasies they had to the man and themselves, all in one room. The following morning he was paid and sent back to the city. 2. This lady is beautiful and she knows it. Married to a fairly rich family. Her father in-law seduces her to sex and she accepts. Then her brother in-law. And the husband is still alive. Id guess, unless she has so far stopped, shes still sleeping with all 3 men. None knows it except all Kenyans who had her brag of victory. 3. A man brings his would be wife to introduce to his family. His very own sister falls for his wife to be and a relationship sparks. Ten years down the line they are still at it. The sister in-law visits thrice a week to see her-not in-law- but probably clandestine lover. Id assume they use the mans marital bed. Looking at all three of them it seems like a plot for an advanced Nigerian movie, or soap or maybe a pornographic film setting. The only twist is that they are all real, in Kenya, and apart from the first, its the same women who called to speak of it. Its like in a movie when a kidnapper calls the family and says .yes, I have the kid. Yes I have the power to end this. Yes I can or cannot kill it. Yes me, not you! But all three share a common theme. Finally we are out. We aint gonna play backstage. Take it or beat it. Its our time to rule But these are the few sickening stories of a society gone badly. Its as if, women have reached their elastic limit of endurance, a point where they put off their angelic faces. They garb upon them their very bare nature. Their emotional fury has got to the point of eruption and so far we have started seeing the smoke. No more being behind the scenes. They have decided to take the bulls by their horns. And cold do they serve it. Few have gathered the courage to speak. How many are still out there. Serving men what theyve been eating all along. So many questions are left unanswered. But one evidently pops out of all answers well find. The situation is bound to get worse. This mayday call is late. The plane will definitely crush.
