OUR VISIONVISION

Peoples Recovery, Empowerment We, the members of the PREDA Foundation, our friends and supporters envision a just, free, peaceful and prosperous society that serves the common good, respects human rights, especially the rights of children. A society built on faith and virtue and spiritual values that overcomes poverty by a fair distribution of wealth, opportunity and resources. It restores and preserves the environment and builds up self-reliant communities through the participation of the people and respects and restores the culture of indigenous peoples.

OVERVIEW
Peoples Recovery, Empowerment Development Assistance Foundation, Inc. or PREDA was founded by Fr. Shay Cullen in 1 976 to fight for human rights and develop social transformation in the Philippines. Throughout the years PREDA has established 1 2 projects with the mission of promoting sustainable development and at the same time alleviating poverty. Also, PREDA aims to bring justice and equality to the less fortunate women and children in the Philippines. This video hopes to touch the hearts of its audience and therefore save lives by changing the system of the Philippine Society.

OUR M ISSION
To work for just laws and their implementation that will empower the poor, and protect their rights. To protect the weak and the defenseless especially children and women exploited in demeaning labor, especially prostitution. To come to the assistance of the sexually abused and develop Fair Trade programs that will help alleviate poverty and exploitation.

ublic Education and Preventive Seminars (PEPS)

Seminars, workshops and training sessions are conducted daily to both elementary and high school students, teachers, social workers, church leaders and the community in different provinces across Olongapo for the prevention of HIV-AIDS.

outh Empowerment Program and Theater Group (AKBAY)

A youth movement that focuses primarily on promoting children's and youth's rights and conducts seminars advocating the prevention of HIV-AIDS and drug abuse.

treet Child Education Early Kontact and Outreach (SEEKOUT)

This project aids street children in terrible conditions by providing them with basic human needs such as food, clothes and shelter.

esearch, Advocacy, Information and Networking (RAIN)

In charge of disseminating PREDA's different communication materials both in and outside the Philippines, this team works with different journalists and other media personalities to implement and strengthen child-related laws. They rely primarily on the different forms of media to spread and increase awareness.

C hildhood For Children (CFC-Girls)


This project protects and saves the youth from brothers, domestic violence and sexual abusive situations. These children are given a chance to start over and live the life that they deserve by providing them with a recovery program with emotional expression therapy and family therapy counseling. Healing is considered as the core of this program.

Legal Services (LEGAL)


A project for the helpless children who are accused of crime and victims of abuse. PREDA provides research and legal assistance to these children to fight for their prosecute their abusers.

Educational assistance are given to underprivileged children who are currently taking up courses such as nursing assistance and computer training for the disadvantaged FilipinoAmerican children. SCHOLAR also provides different learning opportunities for high school students to further hone their skills for the future.

Sustaining the awareness of children regarding cybersex and pornography has been one of the top priorities of PREDA. Internet safety campaigns persuades Internet Service Providers to help support the movement against the easy access to malicious sites over the Internet for stalkers and pedophiles.

Rescue Every Child Today (REACT)


REACT's mission is to visit jails and to deal with the cases of children in conflict with the law. The team rescues these children and provides them with a secure and child friendly environment essential for their growth.

pecial Human Rights Education (SHARE)

REDA Fair Trading for the Marginalized (Fair Trade)

This program helps leaders of the various indigenous groups to engage in dialogue with other government officials regarding environmental protection and development. Tree nurseries and saplings are provided for these indigenous groups. Special scholarships are also given to some selected youth participants.

Trains volunteers to be legal guardians of the sexually exploited and abused victims in need of protection and assistance. Lobbying for change and maintaining the cyber-law against child pornography is two of the primary goals of the project. The team is also in charge of disseminating the Juvenile Justice Law in various sectors of society.

Fair Trading is a nationwide project which assists and provides the marginalized with interest free loans, trainings and other resources for them to earn and live a better life.
