FILIPINO VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION

All others concerned,
1, The month of November of every year was declared as the Filipino Values Month through
Proclamation No. 479 dated October 25, 1994. The objectives of this are to strengthen the
Filipino culture, values and ideals that are pro-God, pro-people, pro-country and pro-nature
and mobilize all Filipinos for nation-building through the practical exercise of human values
in daily lives as citizens and to awaken us all to the power of these values in achieving
individual and national goals.
In consonance with this mandate and Unnumbered Regional Memorandum dated September
26, 2017, this division is celebrating the Filipino Values Month this November, 2017 with
the theme “Kahinahunan at Katatagan: Tugon sa Makabago at Mapanghamong
Panahon”. Public and private schools are encouraged to hold meaningful activities for
Jearners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, parents and other stakeholders which include
but not limited to the following:
display of tarpaulins
symposia
seminar
recollection
slogan and poster making (preferably be done at the star of the month so that
outputs can be displayed for the whole month)
recollection (preferably for teaching and non-teaching personnel)
Jingle making
life story composition
tagis talino
Jj. other activities
[tis reiterated that in the conduct of such activities, the policy on time-on-task must be strictly
adhered to,
3. Action Plan shall be submitted before the end of October and’ Accomplishment Report
before December 8, 2017 to the SDO-CID, Attn: Frankie T. Turalde, EPS for EsP, in hard or
soft copy through frankie.turalde@deped.gov.ph . Attached is the format to be followed for
uniformity.
4. Expenses relative to the conduct of the activities shall be charged to MOOE/SEF/PTA and
other funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
