Bionic Arm - ENGLISH

A bionic arm attempts to replicate the functionality of a natural arm through electromechanical devices that can attach to the human body. It consists of a bionic hand and may include a powered wrist, elbow, and shoulder depending on the level of amputation. Small electrical signals produced by muscle contractions can be measured by electrodes on the skin and used to control the bionic arm's actions simply through thinking. Currently, bionic arms allow people with disabilities to perform daily activities independently. In the future, bionic arms may become lighter, more movable, and accurate without delay.

Bionic arm

Brief Description of the Project: A bionic arm is an electromechanical

device that attaches to the human body and attempts to replicate the
functionality of a natural arm or hand. It always consists of a bionic hand
or partial hand and, depending on the level of amputation, may also
include a powered wrist, elbow, and/or shoulder. The bionic arm acts as a
real limb simply by thinking actions to be performed. Small electrical
signals, produced by neurons in the body, help in controlling these
actions. They are generated by muscle contractions and can be measured
with electrodes on the skin that the user is capable of feeling.
Scope: In this days bionic arm is use for performing the daily activities and it
can make easy to work for those who are not able to do task by their own. It
make independent to those people who suffers from disability. It cause due
to accident or diseases. Here we use EMG signal for movement.

Future Prospects: In future it can be light in weight and more movable and
accurate without any delay.
