TOPIC: “MY VACATIONS BLOG”

My holiday

On March, my family were to visit to Loja, Loja is the

town where mi mother grow up in his teenager its
location is south of Ecuador, the weather is warn and
hot in summer. My Mother born in Quilanga that is a
neighborhood near of cariamanga. In Quilanga is a
town small with much mountain in its round. We were
visit all churches and “el romerio del cisne” o “swan
pilgrimage” that is a celebration on September where
the people walk to pray for a miracle.

The typical food the loja are: sango, repe, cuuyada ken, pork jerky, horchata,
honey with cheese, etc. its tipical full is delicious to ours family. My favorite
typical food are the repe and honey with cheese. Mother’s typical food is the repe
that is prepared with corn.
My family visit the church of the basilica of
the virgin of the swan that for me is the most
beautiful church then we were to visit the
cathedral and it is very visit by many people.

Important fact:

In addition to being one of the first Ecuadorian cities, Loja is also a pioneer in many
aspects. In 1897, it became the first city in Ecuador to use electric power, catapulting
the country into the Electricity Age.
