    This study examined the performance of children with learning difficulties across different areas of mathematical cognition, including number sense, counting ability, basic calculation skills, and word problem-solving. The results showed these children performed significantly lower than typical children in all areas tested. Specifically, children with learning difficulties demonstrated weaker number system knowledge, counting ability, and calculation skills compared to their peers without such difficulties.
