Camouflage – a book of Kamini Khanduri from Oxford University is about how

animals’ hiding. They use their color or their shape to hide from other animals. The
stripes help the tiger to hide in the grass. Birds have feathers on their body, they
can hide in the tree ‘cause of feathers’ color. Many animals are the same colors as
their home. This helps them to hide, the examples are a caterpillar, monkey or a
harp seal… Some animals have white fur or feathers so they can hide when the
winter’s coming like foxes or grouse. Lots of amazing animals live in Africa. They
hide in the tall grass. Some animals hunt other animals like lions and gazelles.
Many animals use camouflage in the water. The frogfish looks like the coral when
it lives next to it, also the flounder looks the same as the stones and the hatchet fish
looks the same as a mirror ‘cause of its very shiny scales. Some animals can get a
new color very fast like cutterfish or beetle. Some animals also look like leafs such
as a katydid, a leaf insect, a frog or a leaf gecko. They also can be look like some
other projects like a stick, stones, some others can look like another animal.
