Introduction

Experts in the field define strategic management as the process of evaluating, planning, and
implementing strategies to retain or improve competitive advantage. The evaluation process
is involved assessing both the external and internal settings. Before I read the interpretation
of the title by intellectuals, I understood that strategic management was only talking about
planning. However, as I agreed with scholars' definition, strategic management is a broad
concept that includes implementation and evaluation. In shortly Strategic Management is the
application of strategic thinking to the job of leading an organization.“Managing
strategically”, in other words:‘Diagnosing situations strategically’, and ‘Applying knowledge
strategically’“Strategic Management is a continuous, iterative process aimed at keeping an
organization as a whole appropriately matched to its environment.”The new understanding of
strategic management requires judgment and composure. It has to do with seeing far enough
ahead into a complicated; changing environment to make an informed decision about what is
valuable and practicable for a business to achieve. And it has to do with situating the
organization in that environment in such a way that it can chase and exploit possibilities via
persistent effort while also adapting and responding rapidly when external conditions change
unexpectedly (Moore, 1995).
