Roi Curtain Wall Amorphous South Bangalore
This is the first and the only glass on the market that generates free electricity for your building while providing
thermal and acoustical insulation, day lighting and sun control. This combination of active and passive properties of
the glass leads to outstanding return on the investments. The low-e photovoltaic glass is the only architectural glass
that pays for itself due to the energy savings derived from a high performing building envelope plus the electricity
generated by the glass, which is used for self-consumption. With Onyx Solar photovoltaic glass you will benefit from
having the same rate of energy cost for the building despite the continuing increase in the local electricity price.
In fact, you are ensuring your energy cost at less than 0.02 € per kWh over the next 30 years.
2
The following figures and graphs reflect the average reduction in energy demand and cost per square foot of Onyx
Solar glass installed. This is a comparison between a conventional Insulated Glass Unit (clear glass/air
chamber/clear glass) and our Photovoltaic Insulated Glass Unit, which provides a very low-risk investment with a
great yield during the entire lifetime of the building.
Review the document and see how much you can save in your building energy cost.

OTHER ADVANTAGES OF BIPV AND GREEN BUILDING DESIGN
Green Building design is becoming a great interest for real estate companies today. This is especially true within the business model where the leasing
tenants are responsible of operating and managing the building. Qualitative facts such as return on investment, enhanced indoor comfort and
productivity level due to the radiation filtration with optimal natural light contribute in earning Green certifications such as LEED and BREAM. The return on
investment is a key feature of the BIPV that is associated with the company’s commitment in preserving the environment.
Other economic benefits of the BIPV are as the following (source: www.usgbc.com):
Saving money with the BIPV is made possible by its multifunctional characteristic in which it distributes the produced solar electricity, improves thermal
insulation, and reduces the use of artificial lighting with the optimal amount of sunlight indoors. Consequently, the building will also eliminate a significant
amount of CO2 emission.
The generated solar electricity will feed the building’s electricity consumption, thereby reducing the kVA needed from other conventional sources. This
will also result in minimizing the peak load and peak demand for the HVAC and the lightings.
In conjunction with the ability to save energy as well as to generate it, you will be given a peace of mind in knowing that the building’s energy cost will
remain minimal.
