7-Star Charizard Up For Grabs

Defeat the "Charizard the Unrivaled" in a

Rewards
Black Crystal Tera Raid during the event and
you'll get a Dragon Tera Type Charizard with
the Mightiest Mark.

Unlock 6-Star Tera Raid Battles to

Participate

To do this, you'll need to complete the
Requirements
Academy Ace Tournament, then do 8-10 4-
Star or 5-Star Raids until you get a call from
Jacq.

Round 1 is over, but Charizard will be coming back for

revenge on 12/15! If you didn't get it the first time, be
sure to get a Sylveon or Flutter Mane ready for Round 2!

Encounter Florges and Mimikyu

During the event, players can also catch Florges and

Mimikyu in 4-star and 5-star Tera Raid Battles! Their
Tera Types can vary, and can make pretty formidable
allies in the Charizard Raids!

Ability: Solar Power (Hidden)
IVs: 31 IVs in Every Stat
Nature: Modest

・ Dragon Pulse
・ Fire Blast
Charizard ・ Hurricane
・ Focus Blast

During the Raid, the 7-Star Charizard is

also known to use moves such as Sunny
Day, Tera Blast, Overheat, and Inferno.

The Dragon-Tera Type Charizard in the 7-Star Raid is

running a Special Attacking set with its main attacking
moves being Dragon Pulse and Fire Blast. It also packs
Sunny Day which lets it activate its Solar Power Ability,
as well as power up its Fire-type moves. Thankfully it
reduces the accuracy of its Hurricane, and Focus Blast
has shaky accuracy too. If you're lucky, this Charizard
will actually have a hard time hitting you

Squad up with other users to take down these

Charizards together and get some awesome rewards in
the process.

7-Star Charizard Rewards

Charizard with the Unrivaled Mark

The biggest reward from conquering this raid is the

opportunity to catch the Charizard itself. Keep in mind
that it can only be caught once per save file. The Lv. 100
Charizard will have its Hidden Ability, max IVs in every
stat, and the unique Mightiest Mark which confers it the
title of Charizard the Unrivaled.

Players may also choose to rechallenge the 7-Star

Pokemon Scarlet and Viole…

Azumarill is Too Frail

Many players have noticed that parties of four Azumarills

are not working as well as they wanted. Unfortunately,
Azumarill lacks the bulk to withstand Charizard's moves,
especially after a Belly Drum. We recommend bringing in
Fairy-types with high Special Defensive bulk such as
Sylveon or Flutter Mane to better handle the Charizard
Raids!

Best Pokemon for Tera Raids

Use Type Advantages Against 7-Star

Charizard

Dragon-type Tera Pokemon are weak against Ice, Fairy,

and Dragon type-moves. We recommend assembling a
party with a mix of Pokemon with these types of moves
to beat and catch the 7-Star Charizard.

Best Team for 7-Star Charizard

One-Hit KO

Party Lineup

Sylveon Sylveon Sylveon Grimmsnarl

Main Weaknesses

Any pokemon with Fake Tears can work in place of

Grimmsnarl. As mentioned earlier, the Charizard will
mostly be using Special Attacks so be sure to set up
Light Screen as soon as the raid starts. Followed by
Fake Tears from two of the supporting Sylveon to
prepare for next turn's OHKO.

This team allows for efficient application of de-buffs to

Charizard for an eventual super Hyper Beam from
Sylveon.

How to Use

Turn 1
・ Grimmsnarl uses Light Screen
・ Attacking Sylveon uses Calm Mind
・ Two Supporting Sylveon use Fake Tears

Turn 2
・ Grimmsnarl heals with Cheer
・ One supporting Sylveon will use Fake Tears
・Another supporting Sylveon will boost Sp. Atk with Cheer
・Attacking Sylveon will use Hyper Beam

Use this battle strategy to lower Charizard's Sp. Def,

while also defending your team from Charizard's
onslaught. Light Screen will play an essential role to buy
time for your preparations, while multiple Fake Tears
should make quick work of Charizard's Sp. Def. By
timing your Pokemon's moves to supplement Sylveon,
you should be able to defeat the Unrivaled Charizard
with just one hit.

Moonblast Spam + Support

Party Lineup

Sylveon Dachsbun Flutter Mane Grimmsnarl

Main Weaknesses

Having a full team of Fairy-types completely eliminates

the worry behind the 7-Star Charizard's Dragon-type
moves. The Charizard will mostly be using Special
Attacks so be sure to set up Light Screen from
Grimmsnarl right off the bat. Dachsbun can support the
teams attackers with Helping Hand to boost their
offenses.

This team provides offensive coverage by firing off strong

Moonblasts from Sylveon and Flutter Mane. After
providing defensive utility, Grimmsnarl can also deal
damage and debuff Charizard with Spirit Break. Both of
these moves have the chance to reduce Charizard's
Special Attack, minimizing its damage output.

How to Use

Turn 1
・ Grimmsnarl uses Light Screen
・ Dachsbun uses Helping Hand on Flutter Mane
・ Sylveon uses Yawn
・ Flutter Mane uses Moonblast

Turn 2
・ Grimmsnarl heals with a Cheer
・ Dachsbun uses Helping Hand on Sylveon / Flutter Mane
・Sylveon uses Moonblast
・Flutter Mane uses Moonblast

Turn 3 onwards
・Grimmsnarl uses Spirit Break or heals with a Cheer.
・Dachsbun uses Helping Hand on Sylveon / Flutter Mane
・Sylveon uses Moonblast
・Flutter Mane uses Moonblast

Use this battle strategy to have the offensive members of

the team beefed up, while also attacking from the safety
of Grimmsnarl's screens. Light Screen will help lessen
any damage the team receives. Don't neglect the value
of Cheers to heal up your team, but be mindful that there
are only 3 uses! The onslaught of Moonblasts and
Spirit Breaks should also cripple the Charizard's
offenses.

How to Join the 7-Star Charizard Event

Unlock 6-Star Tera Raids to Participate

Charizard normally cannot be found in Paldea, making

the 7-Star Charizard quite the catch. But you have to
fight it in a Black Crystal Tera Raid.

These raids are tough, so trainers will have to prepare in

advance. It's also recommended to complete the
post-game before you participate. Players who are in
earlier points of the game can still join via Link Code, but
it is highly discouraged since these 7-Star raids will be
extremely difficult.

Black Tera Raids vs. Normal Tera Raids

Remember that Black Tera Raid symbols on the map do

not come in any other color except black. Meanwhile,
normal Tera Raid symbols are colored according to the
Tera Type of the Pokemon in them.

When you're looking for the Tera Raid with the 7-Star
Charizard, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Tera Raid
symbol on the map with the Dragon-type Pokemon icon.

Re-encounter Charizard by Adjusting the Date

on Your Switch

After defeating the raid once in your game, you can

rechallenge Charizard by joining other Charizard Raids,

Others

To participate in the event with other players, you must

have a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, which
is bought separately from the game.

I'm not sure if Azumarill's belly drum is viable

anymore for Charizard, one hit of any of it's
moves lowers its hp enough so belly drum can't
be used, I've tried a few solo raids and always
have been hit with one of Charizard moves and
end up not using belly drum because how much
hp was lost.
