DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS
Digital Footprints are the records are traces of individuals
activities as they use the Internet . Digital footprints are
permanently stored.
A common comparison to digital footprints is the footprints
you leave behind you when walk along a beach.
Digital footprints can be of two forms :
• Active footprints – w hich are formed by your online activity
you do know ingly.
• Passive footprints – w hich are formed by any and every
activity that w e perform online and w e don’t even know about
that.
SOCIAL MEDIA ETIQUETTES
While using social media , if you conduct
yourself in a responsible way , you can
enjoy using social media and can utilize it’s
power for yourself. Some rules applicable on
the use of social media:
• Be honest
• Be Secure
• Don’t Pick Fights Online
• Don’t use Fake nams
• Protect your identity
• Monitor Comments
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
RIGHTS
Intellectual property rights are the rights of
the owner of Information to decide how
much information is to be shared or
exchanged.
It also gives the owner a right to decide the
price for doing the price for doing so.
VIOLATION OF IPR
People violate the intellectual property right (IPR) in many ways that is
called Infringement.
There are three forms of IPR infringement :
• Plagiarism
It refers to stealing someone’s intellectual work and
representing as their own work without the source of information.
• Copyright
A copyright infringement refers to using copyrighted work
without the consent or permission of the copyright holder.
• Trademark
Trademark infringement is the unauthorized usage of a mark
that is identically similar to a registered trademark. P

Open source software which means freely
used but it does not have to be free of
charge.

Free software means the software if freely
accessible and can be used, changed,
improved, copied and distributed to all who
want it.
HACKING
• Commonly used definition for HACKING is that
the act of compromising digital devices and
network through unauthorized access to an
account or computer system.
• Hacking is not always malicious act but, it is
mostly associated with illegal activities and data
theft by cyber criminals.
• Hackers refers to Misuse of Electronic devices
like mobiles, computers and networks to cause
to damage system, Steal data and
documentation related activities .
EMAIL FRAUD
• Email Fraud or Email scam is a
intentional crime to steal
someone's personal data or to
damage someone individually.
• As mostly as Email’s is used , it is
used to Defraud people.
MALWARE
Malware is a general term used to refer to
viruses.
It is a unwanted software that someone
else wanted that to run in our system.
Malware infects our computer, making it
behave in the way which we don’t want to.

recovery of the deposed material.
The recycle and recovery includes the following unit
operations :
• Dismantling
• Segregation of the parts
• Refurbishment and reuse
• Recycling of valuable materials
• Disposal of dangerous material and waste
DISABILITY ISSUES WHILE USING
COMPUTERS
Promoting access for student with disabilities and
impairments in the field of technology and
computer science have been made in today’s world.
In the specially able students there can be one or
more disabilities :
• Hearing disability
• Vision impairment
• Hand tumor's
