Office of Student Activities Announces New PR Intern

Butler University, 2023 - A few weeks into the Spring 2023 semester, the Office of
Student Activities has announced that they will be working with a new intern. Ainsley
Glenn, who is studying Strategic Communication, will be working with the office to help
spread awareness for some of their upcoming events.

At the start of the semester, the Office of Student Activities began looking for someone
to help promote some of their upcoming activities. Such activities include Masterclass
Mondays, What Would Blue Do, and the new Leadership Program. This person would
also be working to improve their social media presence on platforms such as TikTok
and Instagram. The Assistant Director of Student Activities, Jenna Spini, reached out to,
STR 288: Principles of Writing, Professor Marc Allan for assistance.

Professor Allan sought to get his students real-world experience that they could take
with them into the workforce. As a part of his curriculum, all students participating in his
class would be partnered with an on-campus club or organization and assist them for
the semester. They will work to create publicity for their partner organizations while
making resume-building work.

Ainsley was given this opportunity to further her experience in communications as well
as get more involved around campus. Ainsley says “I am very excited to be allowed to
work with Jenna to help improve student involvement all across campus”. She is already
a part of multiple clubs and organizations, such as Leading Women of Tomorrow,
Gender Equity Movement, and Dance Club, where she will assume the role of Co-Vice
President starting in the Fall of 2023.
