About us
Clymel Cebu Music School is a musical art center that provides
courses for Performing Arts Education. Clymel observes progressive
learning pathways with ABRSM as its primary resource for materials
and accreditation in teaching and performing.
 
As both performing arts and an education center, Clymel Cebu Music School
believes in, and instills the following core values:

Standardized and regulated approach to skill-learning using the ABRSM
materials and accreditation.

Utilizes philosophies from the Suzuki Method of teaching music: “character
first”, wherein music is used as a medium for character building.

Clymel believes that an output-based instruction and an academic

approach to understanding musical concepts along with ABRSM
standards, and the character-first objective will produce an
internationally competent, and well-rounded musicians.

Clymel aims to provide a wide variety of programs that will meet students’ career
preference in music. From degree programs to non-degree custom-tailored programs to
suit individual goals. In association with international accrediting organizations in
music, and in partnership with schools and universities - Clymel assures formal learning
and globally recognized pathways.

Make progress using a London-based syllabus and be one of the
worldwide title holders of music certificates and diplomas attained
through exams and assessments.

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music

A London-based educational body that provides
examinations in music. It offers three major tracks: performance,
teaching, and directing. Wide range of repertoires from Baroque
to the twentieth century are included in each syllabus to provide students with a
diverse experience of styles. Exams are given through the British Council of the
Philippines once in a year.

Rockschool (RSL Awards Limited)

Rockschool, is a UK-based, international music awarding body offering graded
examinations for contemporary and popular music. Rockschool offers Graded
Music Exam Certificate, Performance Exam Certificate, and Professional Diplomas.
Recognized in 45 countries, Rockschool is renowned for their practicality,
flexibility, and rigorous academic standards. Rockschool together with Magnus
Creative Music Inc., continues to partner with music institutions in the Philippines.

Both ABRSM and Rockschool Exam Preparation classes are also offered
at USPF (University of Southern Philippines Foundation) through the AB
Music Department as one of its extension programs. A student may
enter in any Exams with USPF as the sending institution.

Popular Music Theory resources have been
specifically designed with this in mind.

Rockschool's Theory Guidebooks are the ideal

introduction to music theory for musicians,
composers, students and teachers, designed for
use with Rockschool's theory exams, as study and
teaching aids, or as standalone guides.
Rockschool's Popular Music Theory Syllabus is fully
accredited and offers UCAS points at Grades 6, 7
and 8.

Practical Subjects

Develop musical ear, sight reading, and playing style through our
Practical Exam Preparation courses. .

This course follows the syllabus and materials published by ABRSM and RSL in all
practical subjects and the instructions are designed to cover all the components: exam
pieces, technical requirements, sight-reading, aural exercises, and improvisation.

where a sense of accomplishment of students in both music theory and 
performance directs all program goals. 

Hence, our program is designed to bring full sets of learning. An after-
school program is also offered to cater to students who want to focus and 
extend their learning process through an individualized  instruction.

Bachelor of Arts Major in Music (AB Music)

A distant-learning and online-based extensive study in music intended for

working professionals and for those who wish to establish in the music
industry a career in performance, teaching, and research. Any certificates
obtained by students from ABRSM and RSL which correlate to music subjects
in the AB Music Program will be honored. This degree program is in
partnership with Tabor Hill College (THC), an institution located in Tabor Hill
Talamban governed by OAD (Ordo Augustiniensium Discalceatorum) religious
order.
