support your idea of the need for theories in nursing practice for a maximum of

Nursing theory has always been a part of nursing practice. The two are
connected and interrelated, nursing theory is a structured framework of ideas
and objectives intended to direct nursing practice. It is used by health care
professionals and theorists to describe nursing roles, nursing goals, and
suggested outcomes of nursing practices in precise terms in terms of giving care
the  patients and clients. Theory enables nurses to explain what they do for
patients and why they do it, nursing theory are guide in the nursing practice that
helps to raise the standard of nursing care.

In support to this, an example is Florence Nightingale Environmental Theory, 


wherein she believed that a healthy environment was crucial for healing,
Nightingale's environmental theory is based on five points that she believed to
be necessary to attain a healthy house, such as clean water and air, basic
sanitation, cleanliness, and light and when this theory was applied in nursing
practice it helps puts patients in the best circumstances so that nature can heal
them. Thus this technique is used by nurses that makes an effort to change
nature by creating the ideal conditions for healing and thus applying some
fundamentals of nursing are cleanliness, light, warmth, fresh air, and silence.

Thus in conclusion theory are knowledge base that can be applied in the nursing
practice that enables nurses to perform procedures and practices that is best for
the patient’s recovery and caring for them.
