Host 1: It’s 7:00pm on the clock, good evening Philippines! To our fellow filipinos listening to our station
99.9 Crossing the Line FM. My name is (host name) and welcome to our evening podcast “The Blues”
(Christmas Edition) along with your other favorite hosts (host 2, host 3). Good evening to you guys.

Host 2 & Host 3: Good Evening, (Host 1’s name)!

Host 3: We are excited to have today's special podcast because we have an extra special guest for
tonight, (A famous singer, known for hit sob songs and an upcoming christmas album this late
december.)

Host 2: Let us all welcome, (special guest name) Mr/Ms (Name then Kris Masse)!

SG: Thank you so much Crossing the Line FM for welcoming me here to "The Blues". I’m thrilled to be a
part of today's episode.

Host 1: Welcome welcome. Alright, before anything else, I want to ask everyone including our viewers:
how are your days going during this season?

Host 3: Since Christmas season is coming, the weather these days have been colder. Mornings are
shorters and evenings are chilly. – Has anybody noticed that the sun already sets by 4 pm.

Host 2: I’ve noticed the weather changes as well. We only have a few days before Christmas. But
personally, it doesn’t feel too exciting for me. My last memorable Christmas was before the pandemic.

SG: Well actually, this month is probably my busiest one so far. My schedule’s jampacked with a lot of
events and tasks that needs to be done. I don't have enough time allotted for celebrations.

Host 1: I do agree, everyone seemed a little busier these days, (fast) and it’s actually been a while since
we’ve done something festive on a bigger scale due to the pandemic. Wide family celebrations are back.
Speaking of seasons, trigger warning: have you guys heard about seasonal depression? I’m pretty sure
our dear listeners might have some idea about this topic.
Host 2: Right, it’s actually an open topic these days. From what I’ve read from a website called NHS, it’s
actually a type of depression which anyone may experience during the winter season. It sometimes may
become severe to the point that it affects our daily activities.

Host 3: It’s actually scary because when winter gets really cold, it can highly affect our emotions and
feelings. And just like what (Host 2) said, this feeling picks no one and it can happen to anyone. So, if you
think you are feeling the blues, it’s always better to have someone to talk to or be with.

SG: I do have a suggestion to our listeners out there. Since I have personally experienced this. It can be
lonely in my line of work and lifestyle. Whenever you feel lonely and you want someone to talk with, it
could be better to talk to someone who barely knows you. Trust me, you may feel better after this.
Because strangers give out the best support compared to those who actually know you.

Host 2: Ooooh, looks like (SG’s name) has quite an experience!

SG: The truth hurts, but sometimes that's just how it is.

Host 3: That is so true. I once experienced the same thing (SG’s name) just said. It was at that time
where I had troubles opening up to anybody that I know so I went to a website where you can
anonymously rant out your feelings. And then, one day, I got a notification that someone replied and we
sort of had a conversation. It wasn’t that much but for me, it meant a lot. It saved me from my raging
thoughts.

Host 1: Even though our parents taught us not to talk to strangers, sometimes it could be the best way if
you have nobody to talk with. To listeners out there, you won't always have someone to listen to your
problems – but i wish that there would be a friend or a stranger to do so. PS Though, be wary and
cautious still when it comes to talking to strangers!!

Host 2: We sincerly advise you not to solely do that. Anyways, Going back to the topic, I actually have
something to share as well. So, it was last December of 2016 when I encountered seasonal depression. I
always felt exhausted, as if I had no purpose to live whenever I woke up. My lola noticed that I wasn’t
being productive at all so we talked for hours and I realized I was sobbing in front of her while she was
comforting me. ‘Till this day, I really miss her voice – with the way she comforts me.
Host 1: A grandparent’s love will always be unconditional. Even if you don’t show them how you truly
feel – they always know how you feel.

SG: It’s always the Lolo’s and Lola’s, they are extra caring – maybe a little bit more than our parents. I
love how they always share some wisdom that’s useful to our lives.

Host 3: But in all seriousness, seasonal depression isn’t really an easy thing to pass through. While it may
be true that emotions might get tense as the weather gets colder, please don’t be scared to reach out to
anyone that you can trust – or you can always call the hotlines that we will be listing down below for our
video watchers, apologies to the audio only out there!

Host 1: Last week, we asked our viewers to write christmas topics for us to tackle and talk about. Let's
pull out the raffle box of suggestions and see which one we'll be facing today. (Host 2) if you may.

Host 2: Alright, here goes nothing. (Everyone else drum rolls) Today we have: The likelihood to spend or
to not spend time with our loved ones this holiday season.

Host 3: Oof, quite a heavy topic. Hmmmmm... how about we start with your plans for this christmas
(SG's name).

SG: This Christmas huh. Unfortunately, just like the past five christmases, i cannot go home to my family
to celebrate. They're always looking forward for me to come home and celebrate with them but this
time of the year just never aligns with my schedule.

Host 1: So sorry to hear that.

SG: I truly do feel sad about the situation but I always get to go home for the new years so that makes
up for it. What about you guys? Do you have time to go home this christmas?

Host 2: I'll go first. Just like you, I can't go home to my family this holiday season. I couldn't prepare early
enough to book a flight home and besides I have quite the workpile for this month. I know it's a good
thing to be busy but I just wish na i had time to just be with my family and enjoy their presence. It's such
a comforting event and i'm missing out on it.
Host 3: We'll just have to be your family this christmas

Host 1: Ooh,, I don't know about the "we" part.. Since you guys know that I do live with my parents still.
So I am fortunate enough to not miss out on these events but it really strikes me that I shouldn't be
taking it for granted. It feels like it already is a privilege alone to celebrate it, and moreso with your
family, so i am grateful to be able to do so.

Host 3: Well not to be the downer but I don't even have a family to go home to. So as per usual I will be
spending christmas alone. But nothing really changes if I've already been doing it for a decade. But I
think it would be nice if there was someone to miss me when i'm not home for christmas or to celebrate
it with my relatives.

Host 2: Glad you're here to celebrate it with me. Maybe even (SG's name) could celebrate with us
hahaha since we're all alone this christmas.

Host 1: Oh my mother just texted me. She's asking me to invite you all to our home for christmas. Well if
you're all free.

Host 2&3: That sounds great!

Yeah, we'll be there!! So excited.

SG: If I find the time, sure. I'd accept the offer.

Host 1: Great. Let me know ha so i can tell my parents. Time check?

Host 2: 8:15pm

Host 3: We're a little over time here

Host 1: Well then that would be the end of our first special christmas episode here in "The Blues"
podcast. Thank you so much for listening for tonight and thank you so much to our special guest (SG's
name) for coming to today's episode.
SG: Thank you for having me here.

Host 1: Do you have anything to promote before you go?

SG: Yes. Please listen to my upcoming Christmas Album: Jinggling Alone all the way this late December
and thank you for your continued support over the years and even till this last month of the year.

Host 1: Thank you (SG's name). Please do check out his album. And we will all see you on the next
episode. Bye!!! (all)

Host 2: Now for our commercial break before the next segment of musical holiday!
