Learning Objectives:
1. To understand the current macroeconomic scenario and policy of Indian Economy
2. To examine the Agriculture and allied sector as the foundation of economic growth and
development of Indian Economy and understand latest issues and policies
3. To examine the role of industrial sector, significance of MSME and implications of policies
such as disinvestment.
4. To understand the importance of services sector as the major contributor to GDP and
employment of the Indian economy.
5. To analyse the structure and working of banking and other financial sectors in the Indian
economy.

Learning Outcomes :
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Understand the current macroeconomic scenario and policy of Indian Economy Identify the
importance of Agricultural sector and suggest measures to the improve output and
productivity of the Agricultural sector.
2. Identify the importance of industry and services in context of growth trends and policy
initiatives
3. Understand the functioning of the financial sector and its contribution in creating a healthy
business environment and for improving the policy making of the government.

Pedagogy: Classroom Learning, problem solving, case studies, games and simulations, peer
teaching, role play, projects or assignments.
