Presente perfecto progresivo 4Cémo y cuando usamos este tiempo verbal? Lo usamos normalmente en dos situaciones: 1. Para enfatizar en la duracién de una accién (minutos, horas, dias, meses, etc); dicha ‘accién comenzé en el pasado y atin ocurre o continda ocurriendo en el presente. Observa los siguientes ejemplos de este tiempo verbal: Ihave been reading this book for a long time. (He estado leyendo este libro por mucho tiempo) Ihave been watching the TV series The Walking Dead for 2 months. (He estado viendo la serie de televisin The Walking Dead por 2 meses) 2. También podemos usarlo para expresar nuestra irritacién por algo que alguien ha estado haciendo: Mary, why have you been wearing clothes? (Mary gPor qué has estado usando mi ropa?) Contrario al Pasado Simple, el Presente Perfecto Progresivo nos indica que la accién esta en proceso al momento de ser mencionada. Por ejemplo, en las frases “te esperamos por més de dos horas o te hemos estado esperando por mas de dos horas”, la primera indica que ya no esperan a esa persona, mientras que la segunda denota que atin estan a la espera de la llegada de alguien.
