ABSTRACT

Mechanical engineering without production and manufacturing is meaningless.production and

manufacturing process deals with conversion of raw materials inputs to finished products as per
required dimensions, specifications and efficiently using recent technology.the new
developments and requirements inspired us to think of new improvements in air conditioning
engineering field.

In our project hacksaw machine consist of a pedal operated and motor operated system.it is
used for industrial applications, house hold needs. It requires power and human efforts.

This project consist of a "crank and slider mechanism".in this mechanism pedal is operated
directly and connect to the hacksaw and through crank and slider mechanism,the motor is
connected to the sprockets.it is used to cutting the wooden blocks,pvc materials,metal bars,etc..

The project main aim is to reduce the human effort for machining various materials.
