 NETIQUETTE - DEFINITION AND RULES
-Netiquette is a made-up word from the words net and etiquette. Netiquette
thus describes the rules of conduct for respectful and appropriate
communication on the internet.
-Netiquette is often referred to as etiquette for the internet. These are not
legally binding rules, but recommended rules of etiquette. Netiquette is mostly
used for dealing with unknown people on the internet.

READ THE ARTICLE AGAIN AND ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS.
1. What example is given of adapting your style to your
audience?
2. Why is it important to be aware of your tone when you
write?
3. What advice is given about the heading of a message?
4. What should not you do with another person's emails?
5. In what situations is it inappropriate to send repeat
emails? Why?
6. Is it always necessary to include others when you send
an email? Why/Why not?

1. Have you ever had an experience of bad netiquette? What
was it?
2. Which rules of netiquette do you follow? Which behaviour
could you improve?
